The\u00a0AIDS Foundation of South Africa\u00a0(AFSA) is a well-respected non-governmental organisation that acts as an interface between donors and community-based organisations (CBOs) working in the HIV\/AIDS sector by placing donor funds with strategically selected CBOs and providing them with ongoing management, technical support and capacity building.<\/p>\n

This is a fixed term contract (1 July to 31 March 2021)<\/p>\n

AFSA has been selected as the implementing organisation for the Community Work Programme (CWP) in the districts listed below. CWP is a Department of Cooperative Governance programme designed to provide an employment safety net, by providing participants with a predictable number of days of work per month.<\/p>\n

The programme is targeted at unemployed and\/or underemployed people of working age, including those whose livelihood activities are insufficient to lift them out of poverty. (Bitou, Knysna, Mosselbay, George, Hessequa, Kannaland, Oudtshoorn, Beaufort West, Prince Albert, Laignsburg, Theewaterskloof, Swellendam, Cape Agulhas and Overstrand)<\/p>\n
