With a dream and a seed of R20.00 given to Basil and Monica Woodhouse as the founders, the organisation has become a BIG TREE and is still growing! Inspired by the scripture in James 1:27\u201d Pure Religion in the eyes of the Lord is to care for the orphans and widows\u201d, this still guides the organisation up to present times.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Social Auxiliary Worker<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>South Africa<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong>\u00a0Commensurate with experience<br \/>\n<strong>Reference no.<\/strong> 2018\/04<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Administrative assistance to residential social worker<\/li>\n<li>Group sessions with children in residential care<\/li>\n<li>Taking children to court, on home visits, to schools, etc<\/li>\n<li>Prepare the weekly case conference meetings<\/li>\n<li>Plan and coordinate holiday programmes for children in residential care<\/li>\n<li>Attend intersectoral meetings<\/li>\n<li>Maintain contact with other social services agencies, schools and health care providers involved with clients to provide information<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum qualification Social Auxiliary Work, level 4, and registered with SACSSP<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of two years&#8217; experience in Social Auxiliary Work<\/li>\n<li>Experience within a residential care facility is an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Fluent in isiZulu and English (speaking, reading and writing)<\/li>\n<li>Valid driver&#8217;s license is a must<\/li>\n<li>Must be computer literate<\/li>\n<li>Ideal candidate should be well organized, highly motivated, have excellent administration and report writing skills<\/li>\n<li>Experience within the NGO sector will be an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Experience in group facilitation with children<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit a current CV and cover letter to Human Resources\u00a0<strong>maria@gcf.org.za<\/strong>\u00a0or fax to 039 3172945 for the attention of Maria Hufner.<\/p>\n<p>Only applicants who meet the requirements will be considered for interviews.<\/p>\n<p>Applicants who have not been contacted by 31 July 2018 should consider their applications as being unsuccessful.<\/p>\n<p>Give a Child a Family is a Faith Based Organisation\u00a0as well as an equal opportunity employer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>29th June, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From humble beginnings but through commitment and perseverance of a group of people, the Place of Restoration Trust was born in 1992.
