{"id":41080,"date":"2018-06-25T09:10:28","date_gmt":"2018-06-25T07:10:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=41080"},"modified":"2018-06-22T13:52:36","modified_gmt":"2018-06-22T11:52:36","slug":"st-lukes-hospice-ongoing-recruitment-3-positions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/st-lukes-hospice-ongoing-recruitment-3-positions.html","title":{"rendered":"St Luke&#8217;s Hospice Ongoing Recruitment [3 Positions]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>St Luke\u2019s Hospice is committed to caring for patients with life threatening illnesses, supporting their families and cares for people of all religions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Community Hospice Sisters\/Registered Nurse [3 Positions]<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Cape Town<\/p>\n<p>Two full time position and one part time position<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the position is to provide Palliative care and support to community referred patients with life-threatening illness.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Attend to and provide care of the patients of SLCH within the guidelines of nursing act and the philosophy of the organisation<\/li>\n<li>Assess, monitor and advise patients on pain and symptom control in accordance with the patient\u2019s medical advisory team<\/li>\n<li>Develop and implement the nursing plan in accordance with the patient\u2019s medical advisory team<\/li>\n<li>Provide relevant support to the family of the patients<\/li>\n<li>Refer patients to other specialised services within the organisation if and when so required<\/li>\n<li>Maintain all patient data in accordance with the requirements of the law, instructions from the medical team and within the guidelines of SLCH<\/li>\n<li>Perform other duties, as and when so requested, in support of team goals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Diploma in General Nursing or Degree in Nursing Science (General, Psychiatry, Community and Midwifery)<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of three years related experience<\/li>\n<li>Diploma or Certification in Palliative Care (added advantage)<\/li>\n<li>Microsoft Office Suite literacy (Outlook, Word and Excel)<\/li>\n<li>Unendorsed driver\u2019s licence<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in at least two official languages and an understanding of palliative care and its role in society (added advantage)<\/li>\n<li>Resilience and stress management<\/li>\n<li>Interpersonal sensitivity<\/li>\n<li>Team leadership<\/li>\n<li>Problem-solving<\/li>\n<li>Judgement and decision making<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Teamwork<\/li>\n<li>Engaging diversity<\/li>\n<li>Verbal and written communication<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit the below to Chandre Williams at\u00a0<strong>vacancies@stlukes.co.za<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A letter of motivation for the application and a fully completed application form (available from the HR office)<\/li>\n<li>A Curriculum Vitae (not exceeding three pages)<\/li>\n<li>Other proficiency assessments to assess competence in areas required, inclusive of a panel interview<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All applications received within the time frames will be considered.<\/p>\n<p>Applicants who do not receive a response on their application within five working days of the closing date of the advertisement, are to accede that the application was not successful.<\/p>\n<p>St Luke\u2019s Combined Hospices reserves the right not to make an appointment to this position.<\/p>\n<p>St Luke\u2019s Combined Hospices is guided by the principles of Employment Equity.<\/p>\n<p>On behalf of Management, we wish you well in your application and future endeavours.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>30th June, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>St Luke\u2019s Hospice is committed to caring for patients with life threatening illnesses, supporting their families and cares for people of all religions.
