Masimanyane works to end violence against women and to advance the human rights of women and girls.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Bookkeeper<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>South Africa<br \/>\n<strong>Report to:<\/strong> Organisation\u2019s Accountant<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the position is to ensure the effective financial management of the organisation<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Record day to day financial transactions and completing the posting process<\/li>\n<li>Perform self-checks on the posting process to ensure that transactions are recorded correctly in supplier ledger, customer ledger and general ledger<\/li>\n<li>Process accounts receivable\/payable in a timely manner<\/li>\n<li>Carry out bank reconciliations and creditors reconciliations.<\/li>\n<li>Produce balance sheets, income statements and other financial documents<\/li>\n<li>Complete VAT returns<\/li>\n<li>Report any irregularities in data to management<\/li>\n<li>Maintain of proper filing system and record keeping<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proven bookkeeping experience at least five years\u2019 experience<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable\/receivable principles<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records<\/li>\n<li>Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and accounting software<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in English and in Microsoft Office<\/li>\n<li>High degree of accuracy and attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Formal qualification in accounting<\/li>\n<li>Multi- tasker, is reliable, is committed to consistently meeting deadlines and has experience of working with a number of accounting packages<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in Pastel Evolution will be an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Confidentiality and organisational skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit your application to\u00a0\u00a0<strong>vacancies@masimanyane.co.za<\/strong>\u00a0 and put &#8220;bookkeeper&#8221; in the subject line.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>6th\u00a0July, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Established in 1996, Masimanyane Women\u2019s Rights International (MWRI) is an equality and social justice organisation which is locally rooted and globally connected.
