Its dynamic technology platform and varied bouquet of channels, built on a foundation of compelling premium entertainment, has seen MultiChoice grow its business across South Africa.<\/p>\n<p><strong>OUTPUTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>(Products, services, programs and information which the individual must provide to external individuals or groups, or one another to accomplish the organisation&#8217;s mission and strategy)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Technical support of infield Next Generation and other decoders<\/li>\n<li>Specification of infield decoder product enhancements (stability and feature enhancements)<\/li>\n<li>on infield decoders<\/li>\n<li>Troubleshooting of infield issues reported on decoders<\/li>\n<li>Manage relationships with decoder hardware and software vendors<\/li>\n<li>Executive information maintenance on infield decoders<\/li>\n<li>Supply direction and be central point of liaison with Field Services<\/li>\n<li>Consulting role to Product Management, Quality Assurance, and System Integration teams<\/li>\n<li>Provide input to the Next Generation decoder strategic roadmap<\/li>\n<li>End of decoder product life management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Thorough knowledge of decoders &amp; peripherals, home networking and interconnectivity<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of consumer electronics and home networking trends<\/li>\n<li>Pay TV industry, specifically MCA broadcasting, broadcast infrastructure &amp; value chain<\/li>\n<li>PC literacy: At least mid-level competency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint &amp; Outlook<\/li>\n<li>Production of research and recommendations documents<\/li>\n<li>Applicable Regulatory knowledge<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 5 years set-top box development\/support experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure<\/li>\n<li>Analytical thinking<\/li>\n<li>Problem analysis and solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Management skills<\/li>\n<li>Customer orientated<\/li>\n<li>Communication (written and verbal)<\/li>\n<li>Presentation skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong Interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li>Initiative<\/li>\n<li>Self-motivated<\/li>\n<li>Creative and forward thinking<\/li>\n<li>Innovation (to modernize or improve on existing ideas, etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications\/Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.careers24.com\/jobs\/apply\/?id=179955\"><strong>Click here to view Jobs and Apply Online<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MultiChoice is the leading multichannel digital satellite television operator across the African continent.
