Sonke Gender Justice (Sonke) works globally and across Africa to strengthen government, civil society and citizen capacity to take action to promote gender equality, prevent domestic and sexual violence and reduce the spread and impact of HIV and AIDS.<\/p>\n

Job Title:\u00a0Enrolled Nurse for the\u00a0Population Project<\/strong>

\nRemuneration:<\/strong> R144\u00a0000 to R180\u00a0000 per annum<\/p>\n

The Enrolled Nurse will run HIV Counselling and Testing Services (HTS) or HIV Counselling and Testing (HCT) campaigns under the Key Population project in the Metropolitan areas of the City of Cape Town, in coordination with Sonke\u2019s HTS team in the Cape Town offices.<\/p>\n

The Key Population project will serve to strengthen the capacity, and access to health services and testing of Key Population Groups within the Cape Town Metro; ensuring that the objectives therefore falls within the DOH 2030 vision and goal towards focused HTA & HTS services.\u00a0 This will be achieved by implementing a number of activities such as: \u00a0promoting & providing HTS and condoms; all clients that access HTS will be screened for chronic lifestyle diseases; link or refer clients for ART; targeted IEC talks; promoting medical male circumcision; promoting community mobilization for healthy and non-violent living; recruiting and supporting Community Action Teams (CATs) \/ volunteers to assist in IEC talks and the distribution of male and female condoms and;\u00a0 initiating and supporting awareness raising activities in the Northern\/Tygerberg sub-district and the rest of the metropolitan areas in the City of Cape Town.<\/p>\n

The second aim is to mobilise communities to challenge Gender Based Violence through the promotion of gender equality strategies so as to reduce the spread and impact of HIV and AIDS exacerbated by gender inequalities.<\/p>\n
