Childsafe aims to reduce and prevent intentional and unintentional injuries of all severity through research, education, environmental change and recommendations for legislation.<\/p>\n<p>To achieve this we work in co-operation with government, industry, non-governmental and community based organisations, community groups and individuals. Childsafe believes that every child has a right to grow and flourish in a safe environment without the threat of being hurt.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Project Manager\u00a0for the Walk This Way (WTW) Scholar Pedestrian Safety Project\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Cape Town<\/p>\n<p>The Project Manager will be\u00a0responsible for complete programmatic and operational oversight for the WTW project implementation.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead key stakeholder relations central to the child pedestrian program for WTW project and ChildSafe generally<\/li>\n<li>Oversee project work planning, budgeting, management and monitoring<\/li>\n<li>Support and monitor project staff performance<\/li>\n<li>Design and plan dissemination of project marketing and information materials.<\/li>\n<li>With Executive Director, liaise with donor community on pedestrian safety as a programmatic direction<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with other ChildSafe projects to strengthen overall organisational programming for prevention of\u00a0childhood injuries<\/li>\n<li>Represent the WTW project to various stakeholders where appropriate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Education, Social Work, Community Development or any relevant field.<\/li>\n<li>Six or more years of professional experience in an NGO setting<\/li>\n<li>Strategic lead in direction, planning and implementation of the WTW project<\/li>\n<li>Advocacy with key stakeholders\u00a0including relevant government departments<\/li>\n<li>Be detail-oriented, organised, self-motivated and be able to work independently<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate information efficiently and effectively<\/li>\n<li>An interest in working with children on pedestrian safety and injury prevention<\/li>\n<li>Applicant must own a car<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit a CV and one-page covering letter to\u00a0<strong>recruitment@childsafe.org.za<\/strong>\u00a0with reference\u00a0WTW Project Manager\u00a0in the subject line.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>13th\u00a0July, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Childsafe is a campaign of the Child Accident Prevention Foundation of Southern Africa (CAPFSA) and Safe Kids Worldwide, which promotes optimal health and development of all children in South Africa&#8230;&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1350,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[243],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
