Bursary awards are categorized according to sector requirements, with due consideration of the National Skills Development Plan, compiled by the Department of Higher Education and Training.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Closing Date: 30 July 2018<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Transport Education Training Authority (TETA) is offering bursaries and invite s all talented and high performing unemployed full \u2013 time learners to apply for financial assistance. Learners eligible for bursaries: those who are currently registered or planning to be registered with TVETs, HETs, Accredited Aviation Schools, Accredited Diving Schools as well as learners who completed or will complete matric (Senior Certificate) and plan to commence studies in 2018. Learners are advised to apply for bursaries in line with study programmes listed below and on the TETA website.<\/p>\n<p>NOTE: Learners currently studying at Institutions of Higher Learning are required to apply through their respective Institutions (The list of institutions and contact details are available on TETA website).<\/p>\n<p>List of Qualifications to Be Funded for the 2017 \/18 Bursaries:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"auto-style1\">\n<li>(N4 \u2013 N6) or ND or B degree in Electrical \/ Electronic Engineering<\/li>\n<li>(N4 \u2013 N6) or National Diploma or B Degree in Mechanical Engineering<\/li>\n<li>B Degree in Aeronautical Engineering<\/li>\n<li>B Degree in Marine Engineering<\/li>\n<li>BCom in Aviation<\/li>\n<li>Commercial Pilot License<\/li>\n<li>Instructor\u2019s Rating<\/li>\n<li>Instrument Rating<\/li>\n<li>Night Rating<\/li>\n<li>Frozen ATPL Subjects<\/li>\n<li>National Diploma or B degree in Logistics Management<\/li>\n<li>National Diploma or B Degree in Road Transport Management<\/li>\n<li>National Diploma or B Degree in Supply Chain Management<\/li>\n<li>National Diploma or B degree in Transportation Management<\/li>\n<li>B degree in Transport Economics<\/li>\n<li>Commercial Divers, Class II, III and IV<\/li>\n<li>Degree in Mechanical Engineering: (Maritime)<\/li>\n<li>National Diploma: Maritime Studies<\/li>\n<li>Degree: Maritime Law<\/li>\n<li>National Diploma, BTech or B Degree: Maritime or Nautical Studies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The bursary will cover tuition, accommodation accredited by an academic institution (no \u2013 private accommodation), books and meals as per TETA Direct Learner Bursary Policy and Funding Model. The bursary award targets previously disadvantaged and impoverished youth (35 years old and younger) from rural and urban communities within South Africa, females and people with disabilities.<\/p>\n<p class=\"auto-style1\">Application forms as well as a list of qualifications to be funded, Guidelines and terms and conditions for bursaries and other relevant documents are available on our website\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.teta.org.za\/\">www.teta.org.za<\/a>, under TETA 201 7 \/1 8 Direct Bursary Learner Support.<\/p>\n<p>Notes:<\/p>\n<ol class=\"auto-style1\">\n<li>Funding will only be applicable to applicants applying for studies related to the list provided and that should lead to a full academic qualification for the applicable courses.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants must be South African citizens and be at the age of 35 years or below.<\/li>\n<li>Preference will be given to 2nd and 3rd year students<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.teta.org.za\/Documents\/TETA%202018%20Bursary%20Application%20Form.doc\">Application forms<\/a>\u00a0must be complete d in full. Direct Learner Bursary Application Forms are available on the TETA website (\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.teta.org.za\/\">teta.org.za<\/a>).<\/li>\n<li>Only successful candidates will be communicated to. If you do not hear from TETA by the end of January 201 8, please consider your application to be unsuccessful.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants should clearly state on the application form the chosen course of study, duration of study, cost per year and current year of study.<\/li>\n<li>Application s should be accompanied by documents as per the checklist attached to the application form.
