LvA is also involved in empowerment-based community engagement initiatives school and community workshops.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Senior Social Worker<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Diepsloot, Johannesburg<br \/>\n<strong>Start Date:<\/strong>\u00a01 August 2018<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong>\u00a0Negotiable, based on experience and qualifications<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions for LvA clients<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with LvA\u2019s legal team to implement integrated services model<\/li>\n<li>Build and maintain relationships with partner organisations and other stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate case management of clients as needed<\/li>\n<li>Oversee all initiatives under LvA\u2019s Psychosocial Programme<\/li>\n<li>Supervise student therapists<\/li>\n<li>Support development and facilitation of GBV workshops as needed<\/li>\n<li>Write reports and update database<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master\u2019s degree in Social Work required<\/li>\n<li>Current SACSSP registration<\/li>\n<li>Experience working therapeutically with trauma and\/or gender-based violence and\/or other vulnerable populations in both individual and group settings<\/li>\n<li>Experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families<\/li>\n<li>Experience in child protection services<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of three years\u2019 community-based work experience; work in informal settlements highly preferred<\/li>\n<li>Strong project management experience<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in isiZulu, Sepedi and\/or Tshivenda<\/li>\n<li>High levels of flexibility, strong leadership skills and a clear sense of purpose<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to work efficiently, both individually and in a team<\/li>\n<li>Strong writing skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to independently manage multiple projects simultaneously<\/li>\n<li>Ability to exercise discretion and maintain the confidentiality required<\/li>\n<li>Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office suite<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, \u00a0submit a CV and motivation letter to\u00a0<strong>info@lva.org.za<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Late applications will not be considered.<\/p>\n<p>Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview.<\/p>\n<p>LvA reserves the right to not hire for this position should no suitable candidates apply.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>25th\u00a0July, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lawyers against Abuse (LvA) is an NGO based in Diepsloot, an informal settlement in the northern part of Johannesburg.\u00a0 We provide direct legal and psychosocial services to victims of gender-based&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1350,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[243],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
