CMT does this through media and outreach programmes that provide scientific information in a format that is easy to understand.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0HR\u00a0Project Bookkeeper<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Rondebosch, Cape Town<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:\u00a0<\/strong>R15 000 to R18 000 per month,\u00a0which will be commensurate with experience and Discovery Life Cover benefits<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the position is to provide support to the HR Manager, by assisting with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<p>Submission of time sheets and leave tracking<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Accurate updating VIP Leave system using daily office movements<\/li>\n<li>Update VIP for annual leave, sick leave, family responsibility leave and study leave; in accordance with the HR policies<\/li>\n<li>Alert the HR Manager of any issues around late submission of timesheets or non-adherence to the leave policy<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for creating monthly Excel timesheet templates<\/li>\n<li>Collect timesheets from employees, verify for accuracy, reconcile with leave forms and obtain the necessary approval<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail on incoming timesheets<\/li>\n<li>Provide the HR Manager with the leave balances on a monthly basis<\/li>\n<li>Provide the\u00a0Office\/Compliance Manager with verified &#8211; accurate timesheets on a monthly basis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Maintenance of employee records<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for creating\/maintaining files related to new engagements and terminations<\/li>\n<li>Keep personnel files up to date in line with audit requirements<\/li>\n<li>Maintain and update the VIP electronic employee database<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Recruitment and selection<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Schedule interviews with candidates and panel members, prepare interview packs<\/li>\n<li>Obtain reference checks for selected final applicant<\/li>\n<li>Inform job applicants of their acceptance or rejection for employment<\/li>\n<li>Obtaining new hire paperwork from selected applicant<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Payroll Administration<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with collation of all payroll input information<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>General<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with annual audit file<\/li>\n<li>Provide switchboard relief in the absence of the receptionist<\/li>\n<li>Comply with ad-hoc requests from management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A relevant tertiary qualification with minimum of four years\u2019 HR administration experience<\/li>\n<li>Full Microsoft Office Package Excel a must<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work well under pressure, independently and with others<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li>Maintain confidentiality at all times<\/li>\n<li>Detail oriented and sensitive to confidential information<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience on Pastel Payroll and\/or VIP Classic<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience on a Leave Administration system<\/li>\n<li>Experience working in an NGO<\/li>\n<li>Numeracy skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work unattended and under pressure<\/li>\n<li>Accuracy, attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Shows great initiative and analytical ability<\/li>\n<li>Must possess the ability to analyse and interpret Excel information for business efficiency purposes<\/li>\n<li>Motivated to make that deadline with accurate figures on time, every time<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit your completed\u00a0CMT Employment Application Form\u00a0found at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cmt.org.za\/about-us\/vacancies\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/www.cmt.org.za\/about-us\/vacancies<\/a>\u00a0together with a copy of your detailed updated CV and a motivation letter\u00a0with an email subject title \u201cHRBK062018\u201d\u00a0to\u00a0<strong>recruitment@cmt.org.za<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Contact person:\u00a0Carmelita Petersen\u00a0<strong>recruitment@cmt.org.za<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Due to the high volume of applications received on a daily basis, please note that correspondence will only be conducted with short listed candidates.<\/p>\n<p>Please consider your application unsuccessful if you have not received a response by\u00a031 July 2018.<\/p>\n<p>CMT reserves the right to amend and\/or withdraw adverts at any time without notification.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>21st July, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Community Media Trust (CMT) is a South African NGO focusing on communication in the fields of basic human rights.
