The organisation\u00a0uses our extensive rural footprint to partner with communities, especially woman and youths, so that they can participate fairly in the economy and society and make their voices heard.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Financial Administrator<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Durban<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong>\u00a0Up to R 12 000 per month<br \/>\n<strong>Start\u00a0Date:<\/strong> 15\u00a0July 2018<br \/>\n<strong>Reports to:<\/strong>\u00a0Financial Manager and CEO<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the position is to provide financial and administrative support to Africa! Ignite\u2019s team.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<p>General Bookkeeping and financial administration<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Capture all cashbooks in Pastel<\/li>\n<li>Assist with budgets and donor reports by pulling from Pastel<\/li>\n<li>Capture and record all expense claims<\/li>\n<li>Maintain and update accounting records by performing duties such as recording\u00a0and posting transactions in journals for account payables, account\u00a0receivables\u00a0and payroll<\/li>\n<li>Perform all banking duties as required<\/li>\n<li>Purchase supplies and assets as authorised by management<\/li>\n<li>Capture tax invoices on Pastel<\/li>\n<li>Capture stock on Pastel<\/li>\n<li>Monitor office supply levels and reorder as necessary<\/li>\n<li>Tag and monitor fixed assets<\/li>\n<li>Pay supplier invoices in a timely manner<\/li>\n<li>Pay any debt as it comes due for payment<\/li>\n<li>Issue invoices to customers<\/li>\n<li>Maintain the petty cash fund<\/li>\n<li>Maintain an orderly accounting filing system including all internal and external<\/li>\n<li>Transfers and payments<\/li>\n<li>Maintain the chart of accounts<\/li>\n<li>Maintain the annual budget<\/li>\n<li>Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to\u00a0management<\/li>\n<li>Prepare where necessary Excel spreadsheets for budgets to funders<\/li>\n<li>Assign transactions into relevant projects<\/li>\n<li>Capture and reconcile all bank accounts statements<\/li>\n<li>Capture and record all transfers, income and expense accounts<\/li>\n<li>Data capturing<\/li>\n<li>Liase with bank<\/li>\n<li>Payroll\/ VAT<\/li>\n<li>Donor reports<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Reporting Responsibilities<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide financial reports to the Finance Manager by the 7<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0of every subsequent month, for the previous month<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Full driver license holder<\/li>\n<li>Ability to articulate a clear vision for their role with the organisation<\/li>\n<li>Have a proven capacity to be an active member of a team<\/li>\n<li>Ability to communicate effectively within a team context<\/li>\n<li>Ability to handle confidential information appropriately<\/li>\n<li>Ability to take constructive criticism<\/li>\n<li>Adaptability \/ flexibility<\/li>\n<li>Ability to follow and carry out set tasks\/assignments<\/li>\n<li>Maintain\/continue established working practice<\/li>\n<li>Ability to relate to groups of differing ability, age and culture<\/li>\n<li>Ability to adapt quickly and take responsibility when required to<\/li>\n<li>Diligent, hardworking, trustworthy and able to function in a team environment<\/li>\n<li>Familiar with Pastel accounting software and able to organise and execute tasks in a timely manner<\/li>\n<li>Ability to develop efficient systems that will improve our financial department and provide adequate financial reports for our managers and Directors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit your CV and a one page motivational letter to\u00a0<strong>antoinette@africaignite.co.za<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you do not receive a response within two weeks of the closing date, consider your application unsuccessful.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: 9th July, 2018<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa!
