We work with communities to bring about sustainable change, with the hope of empowering people to build stronger communities and provide much-needed emergency aid when disasters strike.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Communications Coordinator<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Durban<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the position is to build and promote the brand by providing creative and measurable communications to meet our aims in delivering key communications through a range of channels and initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Execute the PR and Communications strategy<\/li>\n<li>Develop and execute a pro-active media strategy<\/li>\n<li>Create and consistently update the website and all social media platforms<\/li>\n<li>Conceptualise fundraising, marketing and advocacy campaigns<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the development of materials\/collateral to support events and campaigns<\/li>\n<li>Creation of all branding materials as per brand guidelines<\/li>\n<li>Draft written communications, including but not limited to Annual Reports, Press Releases, FAQ documents, news stories and staff profiles<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in Marketing\/Media and Communications, or similar<\/li>\n<li>in-depth working knowledge of a range of communications media including print, online and audio-visual<\/li>\n<li>Exceptional writing skills, with attention to copy editing and the development of press releases and case studies<\/li>\n<li>Experience in the NGO sector<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit\u00a0CV along with a letter detailing your specific interest and skills applicable for the position, as well as your salary expectations to\u00a0<strong>recruitment@pennyappeal.org.za<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Penny Appeal South Africa is an equal opportunities employer and seeks candidates who agree with our values, vision and mission.<\/p>\n<p>Applications will only be accepted from candidates who are eligible to work in SA.<\/p>\n<p>Regret, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>24th July, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Penny Appeal is a humanitarian charity working to transform lives around the globe.
