If you meet the minimum requirements as stipulated below, you will become part of a prestigious team that will contribute to SAA Cargo\u2019s success by delivering a high standard of service to our domestic and international markets.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Closing Date: 16 July 2016<br \/>\nLocation: Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Principal Accountabilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible to perform a variety of duties within the Cargo environment, in line with the Department where in intern is stationed aimed at providing an excellent service to SAA\u2019s Customer<\/li>\n<li>Focus on extensive market analysis, competitor analysis, identify trends and implement strategies in the revenue management system<\/li>\n<li>Work with other team members, and areas of the business to ensure the best revenue outcome for your portfolio and the network<\/li>\n<li>Manage the demand forecast (class availability) for a set of defined markets through Revenue Management<\/li>\n<li>Identify systems to achieve the best possible revenue results for your portfolio, and the network as a whole<\/li>\n<li>Focus mainly on the ground operations covering the main aspect of the business such as reservations<\/li>\n<li>Perform Cargo Clearing and Forwarding , Cargo Acceptance, Load preparation , Transhipment as well flight operations performance duties<\/li>\n<li>Assist with eco \u2013 politics, flight planning and scheduling as well as flight operations performance.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor outbound \/inbound traffic activities for load quality and accuracy<\/li>\n<li>Research and coordinate the business development around the Dube Trade Port Special Economic zone.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate all Air Import \/Export Freight activities including quotation, booking, documentation, data entry, shipment tracking and tracing, billing, arranging deliveries, among other responsibilities<\/li>\n<li>Focus on the layout design and process flows ,focusing on issues of effectiveness and efficiencies as well as service reliability with a view to optimize operations<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that the Cargo business can do more with less and assist in reducing wastage<\/li>\n<li>Improve efficiency and competitiveness, profitability and reduce resource requirements<\/li>\n<li>Assist in providing a method by which the Cargo business can analyse their processes and try to make improvements to them<\/li>\n<li>Conduct research on the airline sales and marketing portfolio<\/li>\n<li>Regular reporting of Air Cargo sales performance compared to its competitors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Grade 12 or equivalent qualification<\/li>\n<li>3 year Diploma or Degree in the following fields Finance \/ Logistics \/ Transport Economics \/ Transport Management \/ Industrial Engineering \/ Sales and Marketing at NQF level 6<\/li>\n<li>Intern candidates must be able to complete the program will be in various Departments within Cargo, two of the intern positions are based at outstations; at King Shaka International Airport Cargo terminal and x1at Cape Town International Airport
