{"id":41584,"date":"2018-07-13T09:00:53","date_gmt":"2018-07-13T07:00:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=41584"},"modified":"2018-07-12T10:45:28","modified_gmt":"2018-07-12T08:45:28","slug":"south-african-breastmilk-reserve-ongoing-recruitment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/south-african-breastmilk-reserve-ongoing-recruitment.html","title":{"rendered":"South African Breastmilk Reserve Ongoing Recruitment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The South African Breastmilk Reserve is a nonprofit organisation that came to life in 2003 and today is the largest milk-bank banking partner of the South Africa Department of Health and Netcare, associated with 44 milk banks that supply anything from 75 to 100 hospitals around the country, in a year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Auxiliary Nurse<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0East London,\u00a0Cecelia Makiwane Hospital<br \/>\n<strong>Work hours:<\/strong> 07h00 to 16h00 Monday to Friday.<\/p>\n<p>This position could be suitable for an auxiliary nurse who is well integrated and connected in the local community.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Salary:<\/strong> R3 500 per month.<\/p>\n<p>The position is available immediately.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collecting donated breastmilk (DBM)<\/li>\n<li>Recruiting and assisting new mothers to DBM<\/li>\n<li>Processing, pasteurising and storing donated milk according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)\u2019s<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring the breastmilk bank never runs out of DBM<\/li>\n<li>Distributing DBM according to SOP\u2019s<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining all the administration documents according to the SOP\u2019s<\/li>\n<li>Cleaning and maintaining all the cleanliness and hygiene standards according to the SOP\u2019s<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining and enhancing the reputation of SABR with the hospitals<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining the equipment and reporting the need for maintenance or equipment failure<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring quality assurance, health and safety standards and hygiene standards are maintained at all times including universal regular hand washing procedures<\/li>\n<li>Advocacy work to promote human breast milk banking<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>HIV\/aids counselling experience<\/li>\n<li>Qualified auxiliary nurse<\/li>\n<li>Qualified HIV\/Aids Counsellor<\/li>\n<li>Passionate about breast feeding<\/li>\n<li>Ideally a mother who has breastfed her own children<\/li>\n<li>Some work experience in the health sector<\/li>\n<li>Affinity with and sensitivity towards new mothers<\/li>\n<li>Be self-motivated and able to work on one\u2019s own<\/li>\n<li>Ideally be computer literate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply please send your CV to\u00a0<strong>karin@sabr.org.za<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>21st July, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The South African Breastmilk Reserve is a nonprofit organisation that came to life in 2003 and today is the largest milk-bank banking partner of the South Africa Department of Health&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1350,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[89],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
