We therefore invite candidates studying towards a university degree in BEng \/ BSc Civil Engineering to apply for bursaries.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Closing Date: 30 September 2018<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Consideration will be given to needy students who have successfully completed their first year of undergraduate study or those currently registered for 2nd, 3rd, 4th year and post graduate studies. However, strongly motivated applications from matriculants with at least 70% for mathematics and science students studying towards the above Engineering fields, and registered with a University will also be considered.<\/p>\n<p><strong>THE BURSARY AWARDED TO EACH STUDENT SHALL BE A FULL AWARD AND WILL COVER:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Tuition\/Registration<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Accommodation\/Meals<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Books\/Equipment plus compulsory excursion and seminars<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Living Allowance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>INDUCTION PROGRAMME FOR NEW BURSARY STUDENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We will invite all new students awarded bursaries for an induction session to brief them about SANRAL\u2019s activities. We also develop the buddy system with students where we develop relationships with them and the Project Manager who will assist them with information required for their academic projects.<\/p>\n<p><strong>OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR THE BURSARY ARE AS FOLLOWS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0A comprehensive CV<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Certified copies of recent academic record, confirmation of registration<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Certified copy of South African Identification Document<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0South African Citizenship<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Motivational letter<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Parents\u2019 or guardian\u2019s certified copy of Identification Document<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Parents\u2019 or guardian\u2019s proof of income<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>APPLICATION PROCESS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Consideration will be given to needy South African students who have successfully completed their first year of undergraduate studies or those currently registered for 2nd, 3rd, 4th year and postgraduate studies. However, strongly motivated applications from first year students studying towards the Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering and registered with a university will be considered.<\/p>\n<p>Bursary applicants will not be considered if they fail any subject in the current academic year. If in Grade 12 applicants should achieve the minimum of 70% in both mathematics and physical science and minimum of 70% for English.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ELIGIBILITY<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Applicants should not be a recipient of any other bursary or financial assistance from any institution<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Applicants must be registered or about to register at a recognised Tertiary Education Institution in South Africa<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Applicants must be South African citizens<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>SELECTION CRITERIA<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Academic proficiency as proven by latest academic report<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Financial circumstances (Means test)<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Field of study<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Behavioural competencies<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Representation (female, rural, disabled and race)<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Validation of ID and qualification<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nra.co.za\/content\/4860SANRALScholarshipApplicationForm2018.pdf\">Download Application Form<\/a>\u00a0and Forward all the required documents mentioned to:<\/p>\n<p>Bursaries: Ms. H.A Harper\/ Ms R Erasmus, 1 Havenga Street, Oakdale, Bellville, 7530<\/p>\n<p>Correspondence will be limited to successful candidates only.
