{"id":41691,"date":"2018-07-17T11:22:33","date_gmt":"2018-07-17T09:22:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=41691"},"modified":"2018-07-17T11:22:33","modified_gmt":"2018-07-17T09:22:33","slug":"southern-african-foundation-for-the-conservation-of-coastal-birds-sanccob-vacancy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/southern-african-foundation-for-the-conservation-of-coastal-birds-sanccob-vacancy.html","title":{"rendered":"Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds (SANCCOB) Vacancy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds (SANCCOB) is a leader in seabird rehabilitation, research and oiled wildlife response and achieves this internationally recognised work through applying high veterinary standards and compassionate care.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Fundraiser<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Cape Town<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the Fundraiser is to facilitate relationships with our supporters and keep them informed of the progress and funding needs of SANCCOB\u2019s projects and programmes: to present SANCCOB\u2019s projects and programmes to (potential) funders; to conceptualise and develop platforms and opportunities for individual donors to support SANCCOB; and to raise the actual funds needed to cover the costs of projects and programmes for SANCCOB in the Eastern Cape and the Western Cape.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and manage an individual giving programme<\/li>\n<li>Identification of potential donors (individuals and organisations)<\/li>\n<li>Present projects to current and potential funders<\/li>\n<li>Acquisition and retention of regular givers<\/li>\n<li>Bequest programme development and liaison with estate executors<\/li>\n<li>Maintain SANCCOB\u2019s membership programme<\/li>\n<li>Secure gifts in kind and sponsorships<\/li>\n<li>Manage off-site fundraising through volunteers<\/li>\n<li>Manage third party fundraising and donation platforms such as GivenGain, the Two Oceans Marathon Initiative, MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous exposure to a sales or fundraising environment<\/li>\n<li>Communication skills, as evidenced in the construction and presentation of their own personal CV and letter of motivation<\/li>\n<li>Results driven, innovative, passionate and committed<\/li>\n<li>Financial literacy, comfortable to work with budgets and present financials as a critical component of proposals and feedback reports<\/li>\n<li>Relationship oriented, feels comfortable cultivating and managing relationships<\/li>\n<li>Collaborator and connector, and facilitates meaningful engagement<\/li>\n<li>Articulate ability to present a concept in such a way that the listener or reader is motivated to participate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit a CV with at least two contactable references and a letter of motivation to the Resource Development Manager, Hedwich Tulp, at\u00a0<strong>Hedwich@sanccob.co.za<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Management will not accept telephonic applications and will only correspond with applicants selected for interviews.<\/p>\n<p>Applicants who have not been contacted within 15 days of the closing date must please assume that their applications were not successful.<\/p>\n<p>SANCCOB reserves the right to not make an appointment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>25 July, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds (SANCCOB) is a leader in seabird rehabilitation, research and oiled wildlife response and achieves this internationally recognised work through applying&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1350,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[243],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
