Provide strategic and operational leadership and for ensuring the organisation\u2019s consistent achievement of its mission and financial objectives.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure the development and effective implementation of a long-term strategy in line with the organisation\u2019s mission and vision<\/li>\n<li>Provide leadership in developing programmatic, organisational and financial plans with the board and staff and take responsibility for their successful realisation<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with all legal and financial requirements<\/li>\n<li>Represent the views and concerns of the Catholic healthcare network and of the organisation to government, civil society and the general public and serve as the organisation\u2019s public face<\/li>\n<li>Recruit and manage a strong team and provide them with the necessary support and leadership to complete their tasks effectively and efficiently<\/li>\n<li>Develop and manage sound financial management and administrative systems<\/li>\n<li>Ensure sufficient funds and other resources are raised to support the work of the organisation<\/li>\n<li>Establish and maintain a good working relationship with funders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A good understanding of the social teachings of the Catholic Church and its values, and commitment to adhere to and apply these in CATHCA\u2019s work<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience in working with international funders<\/li>\n<li>Strong track record in fund-raising, both locally and internationally<\/li>\n<li>Proven leadership abilities \u2013 at least four years in a leadership position<\/li>\n<li>A good understanding of the health situation in Southern Africa and experience in working with government and other key health stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Experience in working in a non-profit environment or with nonprofit organisations<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrable experience in staff recruitment and management<\/li>\n<li>Experience in managing large budgets and proven financial management oversight<\/li>\n<li>Passion for supporting those who receive poor health services or who are neglected or discriminated against<\/li>\n<li>Proficient in Microsoft Office<\/li>\n<li>Command of oral and written English (other African language an advantage)<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical, communication and report writing skills<\/li>\n<li>Strategic thinker, planner and collaborative worker<\/li>\n<li>Interpersonal skills including the ability to work cross culturally<\/li>\n<li>Resilient, positive and solution focused<\/li>\n<li>Ability to travel locally and internationally<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit a recent CV and cover letter, including information on current salary and available starting date, should be sent to\u00a0<strong>director@cathca.co.za<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>15th August, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Catholic Health Care Association of Southern Africa (CATHCA) is a nonprofit organisation that provides high quality and affordable health care service to all, especially the poorest and most marginalised people&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1350,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[243],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
