Amandla facilitates a collective impact network in Philippi that fosters a community-driven, holistic, and sustainable approach to improving learner wellbeing and education outcomes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Reporting Accountant \/ Finance Associate<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Philippi, Cape Town<br \/>\n<strong>Start date:<\/strong> 6 August 2018<\/p>\n<p>This is a\u00a0part-time position\u00a0for 6 to 8 hours, one day per week.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the position is keeping our financial tracking updated weekly and providing that documentation at the end of the month for production of financial reports and eventually the annual audit.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Finalise staff\u2019s weekly reconciliations including prime entry and receipt collection<\/li>\n<li>Conduct bank statement recons<\/li>\n<li>Weekly tracking of organisation expenditure<\/li>\n<li>Finalise the monthly recons for the organisation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Computer literacy, Microsoft Office Excel<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manipulate complex formulas,\u00a0and other high-level functions<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of accounting systems<\/li>\n<li>Experience in accounting for NPOs<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work from our Philippi office once a week<\/li>\n<li>Own computer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit a CV (maximum two pages) and your hourly rate to\u00a0i<strong>nfo@amandladev.org<\/strong>\u00a0with \u201cReporting Accountant\u201d in the subject line.<\/p>\n<p>Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.<\/p>\n<p>No phone queries please.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>1st August, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Amandla Development is a nonprofit organisation that works to empower South African youth with equal access to quality education opportunities.
