The Informal Economy Support Programme (IESP) is the cutting edge initiative which is co-funded by the Jobs Fund, eThekwini and Department of Small Business Development, is now in its second, up-scaled phase (of a three-year duration) following a successful pilot phase. The IESP supports selected, high potential micro and informal enterprises (MIEs) in order to stimulate business growth and job creation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Marketing Specialist for the Informal Economy Support Programme<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Durban<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:\u00a0<\/strong>Negotiable depending on skills and experience<br \/>\n<strong>Start date:\u00a0<\/strong>August or September 2018<br \/>\n<strong>Duration:<\/strong>\u00a0A\u00a0 four months contract position (full or part-time) with the potential for a further position subject to review<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Undertake marketing and promotion work for the IESP and potentially for selected MIEs.<\/li>\n<li>Provide high quality product (designs, concepts, brochures, newsletter campaigns, presentations, social media etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Work effectively with diverse external stakeholders and project teams<\/li>\n<li>Manage or assist in managing and coordinating different marketing campaigns<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of five years\u2019 relevant applied marketing experience evidenced by a portfolio and reference.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to conceptualise, design and develop promotional materials including use of social media including using relevant software<\/li>\n<li>Ability to assist in developing new opportunities, strategic relationships and securing funding<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work with diverse stakeholders (government, NGOs, private sector, communities etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Self-motivated and self-managing<\/li>\n<li>Writing and editing skills<\/li>\n<li>Computer literacy<\/li>\n<li>Communication and people skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong skills in planning, organising and team-work<\/li>\n<li>A relevant tertiary qualification<\/li>\n<li>Valid S.A. driver\u2019s licence<\/li>\n<li>Marketing skills and team-work abilities<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Durban-based or KZN<\/li>\n<li>Zulu-speaking<\/li>\n<li>Experience or understanding of the informal economy and micro enterprise<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of the developmental environment, conditions and stakeholders in KZN<\/li>\n<li>Relevant post graduate qualification<\/li>\n<li>Available to start immediately<\/li>\n<li>More than five years\u2019 relevant work experience<\/li>\n<li>Ability to provide products in English and Zulu<\/li>\n<li>Own car<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit a cover letter, CV with contactable referees, and copies of educational qualifications to\u00a0<strong>info@pptrust.co.za\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Only short-listed candidates will be contacted.<\/p>\n<p>If you are not contacted within two months of the closing date, please regard your application as unsuccessful.<\/p>\n<p>PPT reserves the right not to appoint anyone to this position.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>3rd August, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Project Preparation Trust of KZN (PPT) specialises in the preparation of pro-poor development projects.
