The iThemba vision is for children from under-resourced communities in the Southern Peninsula of Cape Town to be provided with the best possible intellectual, physical, emotional and spiritual foundation for further education giving them hope for their future.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Operations Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Cape Town<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong> Market-related salary with a view to a permanent role<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<p>Front of house<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Greet and assist parents, visitors and volunteers<\/li>\n<li>Arrange and oversee volunteers and contractors for building, playground and IT maintenance<\/li>\n<li>Source\u00a0and sort teaching materials and office supplies<\/li>\n<li>Assist with drawing up of recruitment and performance development documents<\/li>\n<li>Assist the Principal and support the staff as needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>iThemba Government Registrations<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Submit the\u00a0Education Department application for subsidy bi-annually, using previous submissions as a base and with input from the Principal and Finance Administrator<\/li>\n<li>Collate input for quarterly reports to the Centre for Early Childhood Development\u00a0on child attendance<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate completion of\u00a0documentation required by Department of Social Development or Fire Dept. re-registration (this is in progress)<\/li>\n<li>Fill in the annual nonprofit Organisation form (referring to previous submissions)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>iThemba partnerships\u00a0(sponsor)\u00a0development<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Write weekly thank you letters to donors and sponsors<\/li>\n<li>Write newsletters\u00a0in Mail Chimp and draft an Annual Report\u00a0in Word\u00a0(photos provided)<\/li>\n<li>Facebook and website updates\u00a0(training provided)<\/li>\n<li>Assist with gaining My School Card and \u2018learner partner\u2019\u00a0supporters<\/li>\n<li>Assist with\u00a0maintaining the sponsor and donor database<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Primary School development administration<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with online research and\/or administration around re-zoning a property, opening a Trust, site development<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Startup\u00a0admin<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bank accounts, telephone, NPO, City Health and fire depts, pre-school name change, independent school registration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>English<\/li>\n<li>Computer and social media skills<\/li>\n<li>Grade 12, a tertiary qualification<\/li>\n<li>Work experience are a must<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit your CV with a cover letter outlining why the position interests you to Janet<strong>\u00a0info@ithembaschool.org\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>20th August, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>iThemba School is a registered nonprofit organisation ECD independent school offering Grade R. iThemba means \u2018hope\u2019.
