REPSSI\u2019s vision is that all girls, boys and youth have the right to enjoy psychosocial and mental wellbeing. REPSSI has strong partnerships with governments (particularly the ministries responsible for social services, education and health), development partners, international organisations and NGOs in thirteen countries of East and Southern Africa.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Programme Manager for RIATT ESA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Start date:<\/strong> 3 September 2018<\/p>\n<p>The Regional Inter-Agency Task Team on Children and AIDS in\u00a0Eastern and Southern Africa (RIATT-ESA) is a regional network that brings together 30 partners that include civil society organisations, academia, regional economic bodies, UN entities, and bilateral donors in a shared commitment to promote and prioritise the children\u2019s HIV and AIDS response.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage the implementation of RIATT ESA strategy, in close collaboration with the network\u2019s Steering Committee and partners<\/li>\n<li>Effectively managing strategic partnerships in line with RIATT ESA values and vision;<\/li>\n<li>Mobilise resources for RIATT-ESA, ensuring that RIATT ESA has adequate resources to implement its programme<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Strategic leadership<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure sustainability of RIATT-ESA through innovative programming that drives the organisation\u2019s value proposition<\/li>\n<li>Envisage emerging trends within RIATT-ESA mandate and developing new initiatives to respond to these trends<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Programme Management<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure effective and efficient implementation, monitoring and reporting of the RIATT-ESA programme<\/li>\n<li>Implement and manage changes to ensure that RIATT-ESA goals are achieved<\/li>\n<li>Develop new approaches to support the strategic direction of the organisation<\/li>\n<li>Ensure adequate representation of the network in relevant platforms and as established by the Steering Committee<\/li>\n<li>Report on programme performance to Steering Committee, Funding Partners, Network partners and other relevant stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Develop and implement a resource mobilisation strategy<\/li>\n<li>Monitor of programme expenditure<\/li>\n<li>Manage RIATT-ESA administration and programme staff, ensuring that they fulfil their responsibilities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Knowledge Management (KM) and Quality Assurance<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Commission and manage RIATT-ESA research agenda, including collaborative research projects<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical input on the research projects<\/li>\n<li>Publish findings and ensure dissemination as per advocacy and KM strategies<\/li>\n<li>Manage and use the RIATT-ESA social media for engagement, content sharing and networking<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and support KM implementation plan in collaboration with a selected service provider<\/li>\n<li>Collate and disseminate key knowledge and information in the region on children affected by HIV and AIDS and adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights<\/li>\n<li>Provide editorial oversight for all content to be posted on the RIATT-ESA website, on the KM portals and newsletters<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Advocacy<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Analyse relevant research reports and policy briefs and provide guidance for advocacy opportunities and messages<\/li>\n<li>Develop RIATT-ESA advocacy and media materials for different audiences, including media engagement<\/li>\n<li>Lead or participate in submission of abstracts, organisation of satellites, co-hosting of conferences\/events<\/li>\n<li>Represent RIATT-ESA in strategic networks or platforms as established by RIATT-ESA\u2019s Steering Committee<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that children have stronger voice within and through RIATT-ESA<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Criteria for suitability as RIATT-ESA Programme Manager<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Extensive technical background and knowledge in Children affected by HIV and AIDS in Eastern and Southern Africa region<\/li>\n<li>Substantial understanding and experience of advocacy and communication work in the region with a focus on children affected by HIV and AIDS, and adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights<\/li>\n<li>Strong programme management skills, including monitoring and reporting on finances; able to multi task and very well organised<\/li>\n<li>Analytical writing skills in English<\/li>\n<li>Ability to draft policy and strategy documents, develop implementation plans, budgets, reports, Monitoring and Evaluation frameworks, abstracts, advocacy materials and editorial content;<\/li>\n<li>Experience in organising and running conferences satellite sessions<\/li>\n<li>Experience in regional level research on children affected by HIV and AIDS, and adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of Child Protection, Child Participation and Social Protection principles<\/li>\n<li>Experience working with UN Agencies, funding agencies, CSO and RECS<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently with minimum support<\/li>\n<li>Ability to travel within the region and globally<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum Masters level degree in a relevant area of study (Development Studies, Public Health, Social Work etc)<\/li>\n<li>Extensive knowledge in Adolescence Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (ASRHR);
