For those that have been no explanation is necessary, for those that haven\u2019t, none is possible.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Work Yard Administrator<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Salt River, Cape Town<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:\u00a0<\/strong>This role is banded at C Lower<\/p>\n<p>The AfrikaBurn Work Yard Administrator will oversee the Work Yard and its full scope of activities, and will manage and maintain the AfrikaBurn assets stored here.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage the schedule of activities in the Work Yard and workshop spaces<\/li>\n<li>Manage AfrikaBurn\u2019s assets (including repairs, servicing and tracking of assets)<\/li>\n<li>Maintain an up-to-date asset register<\/li>\n<li>Manage AfrikaBurn\u2019s vehicles and trailers (including services, maintenance and repairs, annual licensing)<\/li>\n<li>Track vehicles and trailers<\/li>\n<li>Support the procurement process for AfrikaBurn events (receipt and dispatch of goods and materials, as well as receiving deliveries from\/for all portfolios)<\/li>\n<li>Support the coordination of movement of assets and materials for AfrikaBurn events<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate yard truck packing and unpacking schedules for AfrikaBurn events<\/li>\n<li>Compliance and licensing of all tools and equipment<\/li>\n<li>Maintenance of the yard and office including waste management and water saving infrastructure<\/li>\n<li>Budget and track expenditure related to the workshop<\/li>\n<li>Safety officer for the Work Yard and workshops<\/li>\n<li>Assist office administrator with ad hoc office maintenance work<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Code 08 drivers\u2019 license<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency with the Office Suite and Google Drive<\/li>\n<li>Code 14 drivers\u2019 license and experience pulling trailers<\/li>\n<li>General maintenance skills<\/li>\n<li>Basic mechanical knowledge<\/li>\n<li>First Aid\/Fire Safety training<\/li>\n<li>Previous volunteer experience with AfrikaBurn<\/li>\n<li>Human\/volunteer centred approach<\/li>\n<li>Leadership and communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Budget management ability<\/li>\n<li>Effective administration and record keeping\/record monitoring skills<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to work after hours and weekend work from time to time<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit a covering letter and a detailed curriculum vitae to\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:jobs@afrikaburn.com\">jobs@afrikaburn.com<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong>\u00a031st July, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AfrikaBurn is the spectacular result of the creative expression of a community of volunteers who, once a year, gather in the Tankwa Karoo to create a temporary city of art,&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1350,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[19],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>AfrikaBurns New Job Position - Apply Now!
