This type of social engagement can uphold biodiversity and ecosystem services for the greater urban area while increasing the ecological linkages between other areas of biodiversity.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Marketing and Community Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Cape Town<br \/>\n<strong>Start date:\u00a0<\/strong>As soon as possible, ideally no later than 1 October<\/p>\n<p><strong>Salary:\u00a0<\/strong>Negotiable depending on experience, estimated between R12000 and R17000 per month to start, with\u00a0potential\u00a0to grow this fairly quickly, with the right candidate<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the\u00a0position serves to create awareness\u00a0in\u00a0the general public about Greenpop&#8217;s various events through a combination of different marketing platforms, techniques and mediums and then convert this awareness into ticket sales and event bookings. Greenpop\u2019s Experiences hosts a variety of events, functions, activations, camps, tours and group outings throughout the year, and we need a professional, organised, driven and creative individual to help tell the world about them, and why they should be attended.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conceptualise strategies for marketing campaigns and events themselves<\/li>\n<li>Generate leads to convert into ticket sales, event bookings or registrations<\/li>\n<li>Manage databases of said leads, registrations and tickets<\/li>\n<li>Manage brand presence on various platforms including social media and press<\/li>\n<li>Oversee, and liaise with team members on, the creation of content for said campaigns<\/li>\n<li>Curation and creation of pieces of content such as copy, design, video and audio<\/li>\n<li>Develop, launch and optimisa websites, pages and analytics<\/li>\n<li>Manage intern teams and external collaborators<\/li>\n<li>Report on and communicating the possible and actual ROI before and after events respectively<\/li>\n<li>Report monthly on targets, achievements and strategies<\/li>\n<li>Manage our media relations and content in the press<\/li>\n<li>Manage our face-to-face marketing activations<\/li>\n<li>Manage relationships with possible and existing partners and sponsors together with Greenpop\u2019s Head of Events<\/li>\n<li>On-site coverage during events, including social and other mediums<\/li>\n<li>This role reports to and works closely with the Head of Events<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Marketing or related degree\/diploma<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of one year of work experience in marketing related fields<\/li>\n<li>Well-developed writing and communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge\/experience of basic web development software and processes<\/li>\n<li>Experience in email marketing, audience journeys and automation<\/li>\n<li>A strong grasp of social media platforms<\/li>\n<li>Experience in marketing\/communications<\/li>\n<li>An eye for what makes a good photograph<\/li>\n<li>Great at multi-tasking<\/li>\n<li>Not afraid to pick up the phone<\/li>\n<li>Initiative and an ability to activate projects without too much direction self-starter\u00a0qualities<\/li>\n<li>Ability to drive and motivate others<\/li>\n<li>Fast worker, we work on a lot of different things at the same time at Greenpop and our pace is fast!<\/li>\n<li>Organisational skills<\/li>\n<li>A creative mind and flexible attitude<\/li>\n<li>G-Suite (Drive, Docs, Slides, Sheets and Forms)<\/li>\n<li>Social Media (Facebook Business Manager, Ad Manager, Power Editor; Twitter Analytics, Tweetdeck, Instagram Business Tools and Hootsuite)<\/li>\n<li>Web (WordPress, Bitly and Gleam)<\/li>\n<li>Email, MailChimp<\/li>\n<li>Design (Adobe Photoshop, Canva and Basic Photography)<\/li>\n<li>Project and Task Management &#8211; Asana<\/li>\n<li>Google Ads and Web Analytics, Tag Manager, Ad Words, AdSense<\/li>\n<li>Media and Press Meltwater<\/li>\n<li>Email and Database Salesforce<\/li>\n<li>Design, Adobe Illustrator, In Design<\/li>\n<li>Video, Adobe Premiere or Final Cut<\/li>\n<li>Valid South African ID or valid work permit if not South African<\/li>\n<li>Valid South African drivers&#8217; license<\/li>\n<li>Based in (or willing to move to) Cape Town<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, complete the online form here\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/GPMCM\">bit.ly\/GPMCM<\/a>\u00a0and either upload or email\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:careers@greenpop.org\">careers@greenpop.org<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>a current CV, Portfolio\/links to previous work (if applicable), and a Motivational Statement.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>3rd August, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Greenpop&#8217;s Urban Greening Program is on a mission to inspire an urban future where nature and ecosystem services are abundant and both accessible to, and co-managed by, an active and&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1350,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[30],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Greenpop New Job Opening - Apply Now!
