The Haven Night Shelter Organisation\u2019s method is to make temporary shelter, rehabilitation opportunities, social welfare services, family reunification services, physical care and support available to adult people living on the streets who are committed to reintegration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Host\u00a0for the Kraaifontein Shelter \/ Host for\u00a0 Mossel Bay Shelter<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Western Cape<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong> R5 500 per month<br \/>\n<strong>Report to:<\/strong> Shelter Managers<\/p>\n<p>This is a permanent position<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Host will be responsible for the initial intake of clients including their safety and care<\/li>\n<li>Supervise clients<\/li>\n<li>Administrative duties<\/li>\n<li>Maintain the cleanliness and housekeeping<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reside in the area or in surrounding areas<\/li>\n<li>Code B drivers licence<\/li>\n<li>Grade 10 Certificate<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work shifts and alternate weekends<\/li>\n<li>Ability to interact with clients from different cultures and religions<\/li>\n<li>Manage conflict situations<\/li>\n<li>Computer literacy, Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook)<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work as a team player<\/li>\n<li>Be of sober habits<\/li>\n<li>No criminal record<\/li>\n<li>Be in good health<\/li>\n<li>Experience in the NGO sector will be an advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit a two pages CV and motivational letter to HR Manager\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:recruitment@haven.org.za\">recruitment@haven.org.za<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Haven Night Shelter Welfare Organisation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.<\/p>\n<p>If you don&#8217;t receive a response from us within two weeks of closing date, please consider your application as unsuccessful.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong> 8th August, 2018<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Haven Night Shelter Organisation is a non-governmental organisation that works to help get the homeless to a home.
