youth to access jobs in the Green Economy, conduct high quality low cost outdoor education programmes designed to challenge and change the lives of youth and support and drive conservation initiatives in Cape Town.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Project Assistant<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Cape Town<br \/>\n<strong>Duration:\u00a0<\/strong>Full-time position, two years\u2019 contract<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong>\u00a0R9\u00a0400 per month (no benefits included)<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist trainees to recognise and leverage their strengths and minimise weaknesses<\/li>\n<li>Commit to regular sessions with the trainees and site mentors to ensure they are managing their assignments or workplace tasks<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all training requirements (assessments) are submitted on time<\/li>\n<li>Mentor community projects from implementation through to close-out including submissions of progress reports and funding proposals to ensure the project\u2019s sustainability<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Coordination and Administrative Duties:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinate stakeholders, trainees and projects to ensure that logistics are well planned; deadlines are met and are within budget<\/li>\n<li>Plan and organise the logistics of the training and other professional development elements of the projects<\/li>\n<li>Plan and organise the events such as inductions, meetings and graduations of the projects<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate adverts, interviews and placements of trainees<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the selection of projects for small grants<\/li>\n<li>Compile progress reports for funders<\/li>\n<li>Compile and prepare documentation for submission to funders for contracting or due diligence and monitoring and evaluation visits<\/li>\n<li>Compile and maintain a database of trainees and projects to track progress during the programme and track progression of project or trainees career progression after completion<\/li>\n<li>Attend relevant meetings and events to explore synergies, funding opportunities and partnerships<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Driver\u2019s license<\/li>\n<li>Degree in Nature Conservation, Biodiversity and Conservation Biology, or a sector-relevant qualification<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of two years\u2019 relevant work experience<\/li>\n<li>Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms<\/li>\n<li>Professional writing skills for reports, letters and emails<\/li>\n<li>Organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks<\/li>\n<li>Monitor budget and help ensure resources are used efficiently<\/li>\n<li>Accreditation in Facilitation and Assessing will be an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of SAQA\/SETA\/QCTO processes will be an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Reliable, trustworthy and committed to the success of the project<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Values personal and professional development<\/li>\n<li>Ability to provide guidance and constructive feedback to trainees<\/li>\n<li>Ability to develop trust and rapport with trainees and partner organisations<\/li>\n<li>Self-confidence<\/li>\n<li>Values the development of people and communities<\/li>\n<li>Collaborative working style and team-player attitude but able to work independently<\/li>\n<li>Ability to take initiative and drive tasks<\/li>\n<li>Keen attention to detail and an aptitude for problem-solving<\/li>\n<li>Proactively identify potential issues and
