{"id":41953,"date":"2018-07-31T11:23:37","date_gmt":"2018-07-31T09:23:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=41953"},"modified":"2018-07-31T11:23:37","modified_gmt":"2018-07-31T09:23:37","slug":"duzi-umngeni-conservation-trust-duct-new-job-position","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/duzi-umngeni-conservation-trust-duct-new-job-position.html","title":{"rendered":"Duzi-uMngeni Conservation Trust (DUCT) New Job Position"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Duzi-uMngeni Conservation Trust (DUCT) is an NPO based in Pietermaritzburg, championing the environmental health of the uMngeni and uMsunduzi Rivers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Finance Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Pietermaritzburg<br \/>\n<strong>Report to:<\/strong> The General Manager and the Board<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong> R300 000 to R360 000 per annum total cost to company (excluding discretionary bonus) depending on experience and contracted hours<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the position is to provide and manage the accounting function of the organisation according to best practice of corporate governance in conjunction with management and the board.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop, implement and maintain systems to standardise accounting policies and procedures and introduce and maintain best practice towards good corporate governance<\/li>\n<li>Capture data and prepare financial information<\/li>\n<li>Compile and present monthly management accounts as per set monthly timelines and deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Manage the monthly cash flow requirements of the organisation<\/li>\n<li>Manage the annual budgeting process for the organisation<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the annual audit process<\/li>\n<li>Provide financial administration and oversight of specific projects, including budgets, expenditure and reporting<\/li>\n<li>Establish and maintain good relationships with management, staff, funders, clients and stakeholders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A tertiary level degree or diploma in business or accounting<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with Pastel Accounting<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of good corporate governance<\/li>\n<li>Communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Proven administrative and organisational competency<\/li>\n<li>Competence in Word and Excel<\/li>\n<li>Confidence and assertiveness in dealing with all levels of staff and stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Planning and organising skills<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of five years\u2019 experience in a similar role<\/li>\n<li>Experience with nonprofit (NPO) financial management an advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit a cover page outlining the applicant\u2019s suitability for the position and a maximum of a\u00a0four-page\u00a0CV including three contactable references to\u00a0<strong>info@duct.org.za<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Should you not hear from us within four weeks of the closing date please consider your application unsuccessful.<\/p>\n<p>The organisation reserves the right not to fill this position.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>10th August, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Duzi-uMngeni Conservation Trust (DUCT) is an NPO based in Pietermaritzburg, championing the environmental health of the uMngeni and uMsunduzi Rivers.
