{"id":41954,"date":"2018-08-01T09:00:39","date_gmt":"2018-08-01T07:00:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=41954"},"modified":"2018-07-31T11:27:12","modified_gmt":"2018-07-31T09:27:12","slug":"duzi-umngeni-conservation-trust-duct-ongoing-recruitment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/duzi-umngeni-conservation-trust-duct-ongoing-recruitment.html","title":{"rendered":"Duzi-uMngeni Conservation Trust (DUCT) Ongoing Recruitment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Duzi-uMngeni Conservation Trust (DUCT) is an NPO based in Pietermaritzburg, championing the environmental health of the uMngeni and uMsunduzi Rivers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:<\/strong> <strong>Administration Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Pietermaritzburg<br \/>\n<strong>Report to:<\/strong> The General Manager<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong> R240 000 to R300 000 per annum total cost to company (excluding discretionary bonus) depending on experience and contracted hours<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the position is to provide administrative support to the General Manager, Finance Manager and Operations Manager, as part of the management team.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide a wide variety of administrative and secretarial functions, including PA to the General Manager<\/li>\n<li>Set up and maintain systems (electronic and manual) to improve office efficiency<\/li>\n<li>Oversee events, including hiring an event coordinator and checking on progress<\/li>\n<li>Oversee day-to-day issues in the absence of the management team<\/li>\n<li>Provide administrative support to other departments in the organisation<\/li>\n<li>Respond to enquiries from internal and external stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Use smart apps for company\/project administration<\/li>\n<li>Maintain DUCT website, with external IT support<\/li>\n<li>Supervise and control the submission of proposals and tenders<\/li>\n<li>Fulfil Human Resource Management function, with support from administrative staff, and an external HR specialist<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Proven administrative and organisational competency<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of Grade 12 a certificate or higher in Administration, Business Management or similar will be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Computer competence in word processing, spreadsheets, and database management<\/li>\n<li>Confidence and assertiveness in dealing with all levels of staff and stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Flexibility and the ability to take initiative<\/li>\n<li>Planning and organising skills<\/li>\n<li>Systematic, organised person who likes the challenge of each day being different<\/li>\n<li>Approximately five years\u2019 experience in a similar role<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit a cover page outlining the applicant\u2019s suitability for the position and a maximum of a\u00a0four-page CV including three contactable references to\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:info@duct.org.za\">info@duct.org.za<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Should you not hear from us within four weeks of the closing date please consider your application unsuccessful.<\/p>\n<p>The organisation reserves the right not to fill this position.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>10th August, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Duzi-uMngeni Conservation Trust (DUCT) is an NPO based in Pietermaritzburg, championing the environmental health of the uMngeni and uMsunduzi Rivers.
