{"id":41974,"date":"2018-08-01T08:50:51","date_gmt":"2018-08-01T06:50:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=41974"},"modified":"2018-08-01T08:50:51","modified_gmt":"2018-08-01T06:50:51","slug":"standard-bank-bursary-scholarship-programme-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/standard-bank-bursary-scholarship-programme-2019.html","title":{"rendered":"Standard Bank: Bursary \/ Scholarship Programme 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In honor of Standard Bank\u2019s 150th anniversary in 2012, we launched our 150 Bursary fund, providing full-cost sponsorship designed to promote academic excellence and shape the next generation of African talent and African leaders.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Closing Date: 31 August 2018<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We have below, the two categories of bursary programmes:<\/p>\n<p>Standard Bank Group 150 Undergraduate Bursary<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The undergraduate fund is specific to students that are on track to successfully complete their 1st year and require funding from their 2nd year of studies. Applicants should be well-rounded with strong academic results in the fields ofcommerce, science, engineering, mathematics and technology\u00a0at our preferred academic institutions.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants should have a 65% aggregate<\/li>\n<li>Applicants must register for full time undergraduate studies<\/li>\n<li>Applicants must meet the entry requirements of the University (preference is given to University of Cape Town, Wits University, the University of Pretoria, Rhodes University, University of KwaZulu-Natal, Stellenbosch University, the University of Johannesburg)<\/li>\n<li>Applicants will be required to participate in a formal assessment process including but not limited to Psychometric evaluation and interviews<\/li>\n<li>Financial need is considered in applications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applications for 2019 are open from 1 April 2018 and close 31 August 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Standard Bank Group 150 Postgraduate Bursary<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The 150 fund provides full-cost bursaries to financially deserving and academically sound students wishing to pursue postgraduate studies in commerce, science, engineering, mathematics and technology at our preferred academic institutions.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants should have a 65% aggregate<\/li>\n<li>Applicants must register for full time postgraduate studies<\/li>\n<li>Applicants must meet the entry requirements of the University(preference is given to University of Cape Town, Wits University, the University of Pretoria, Rhodes University, University of KwaZulu-Natal, Stellenbosch University, the University of Johannesburg)<\/li>\n<li>Applicants will be required to participate in a formal assessment process including but not limited to Psychometric evaluation and interview<\/li>\n<li>Financial need is considered in applications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The 150 Bursary programme Applications for 2019 open 1 April 2018 and close 31 August 2018.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Application procedure<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Due to a possible postal strike and the likelihood of applications not reaching us before the closing date, we encourage applicants to make use of the\u00a0<a id=\"Online Application Feature\" title=\"Online Application Feature\" href=\"http:\/\/www.studietrust.co.za\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Online Application Feature<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Alternatively, application forms can be downloaded from below.<\/li>\n<li>Email your completed form and supporting documents in PDF format (not exceeding 2 MB) to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:apply@studytrust.org.za\">apply@studytrust.org.za<\/a>\u00a0or fax 086 538 1537.<\/li>\n<li>Completed application forms may still be submitted to the postal address, StudyTrust, Private bag X16, Braamfontein, 2017.<\/li>\n<li>For applying online, please indicate in the relevant dropdown menu that you are applying for the Standard Bank 150 Bursary Programme under bursary type.
