In development, it has become increasingly important to measure this growth.<\/p>\n<p>Have governments and donors succeeded in eradicating some of Africa\u2019s most prevailing socio-economic challenges through interventions that improve educational outcomes, reduce youth unemployment, enhance public health and provide more productive agricultural and economic practices?<\/p>\n<p>One of the fundamental principles of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) is to prove to donors and governments that donor support is effective in achieving its objectives.<\/p>\n<p>Established in 1993 in Johannesburg, South Africa, as one of the first MEL firms in Africa, Khulisa Management Services has responded to the growing need for evaluations and we have been\u00a0<em>\u201cAccurately Measuring Progress\u201d\u00a0<\/em>for clients ever since. We have provided M&amp;E, learning, results management, research, data quality assurance and analytics services to more than 200 public and private sector clients.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Associate Researcher\/Evaluator<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Johannesburg<\/p>\n<p>Excellent full time opportunity for junior to mid-level professionals with a passion for Development, Research and M&amp;E to join our technical team in our Johannesburg office.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Previous experience in International Development required.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum relevant Master\u2019s degree<\/li>\n<li>Postgraduate in Monitoring and Evaluation training highly desired<\/li>\n<li><strong>1 to 3 years<\/strong>\u00a0demonstrated and relevant\u00a0<strong>experience in research and M&amp;E activities<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Very strong analytical skills \u2013 qualitative and quantitative.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with donor-related policies and procedures (USAID, DFID, UN) an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Excellent writing, presenting,\\ and communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency with the full suite of MS Office applications<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated knowledge of statistics, sampling, and research design is an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Pro-active self-starter, team player willing to take initiative and go the extra mile<\/li>\n<li>Willing and able to travel<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in French or Portuguese an advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Main Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Participate in programme evaluations, assessments, data quality audits, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Develop tools for data collection \u2013 e.g. baseline evaluation, other assessments\/protocols.<\/li>\n<li>Collect, capture and analyse data and prepare reports.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to data management.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in proposal writing and project management.<\/li>\n<li>Provide administrative project support as necessary<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Training and mentoring will be provided<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>12 August 2018.
