NOBSA\u2019s plays a major role in making sure to skill visually impaired people allowing them independence in their lives. This is achieved through therapeutic counselling, rehabilitation services, mobility training and recreational activities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Centre Coordinator<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Soweto<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the position is the coordination of the\u00a0organisation&#8217;s activities including fundraising.<\/p>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversee the daily operations of the centre including but not limited to the human resources, vehicles, finances, awareness and prevention campaigns<\/li>\n<li>Coordinates Centre activities and functions to ensure that goals and objectives specified for the organisation are accomplished in accordance with priorities, time limitations, funding limitations<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of issues pertaining to visually impaired people<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of budgeting and accounting principles<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of organisational practices<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of supervisory practices and principles<\/li>\n<li>Organising skills, work of self and others<\/li>\n<li>Verbal and written communications<\/li>\n<li>Computer literacy<\/li>\n<li>Report Writing anad presentation skills is essential<\/li>\n<li>Experience within the NGO sector is an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Post\u00a0Matric Business administration qualification<\/li>\n<li>Five\u00a0years&#8217; of administrative \/ coordinate project experience<\/li>\n<li>Management skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit a CV, contact details of three referees and motivation letter to\u00a0<strong>socialworker@nobsa.org.za, info@nobsa.org.za\u00a0<\/strong>or hand delivered to NOBSA\u2019s office at 36\/23 Modjadji street, Pimville zone 3, Soweto.<\/p>\n<p>Applicant must be visually impaired attach medical certificate as proof of visual impairment.<\/p>\n<p>Further correspondence will only be entered into with candidates under consideration for the position.<\/p>\n<p>Should you not receive a response within 14 days of the closing date, consider your application as unsuccessful.<\/p>\n<p>For enquiries contact: Ms Simethi at 0110487520.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>27th August, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The National Organisation of the Blind in South Africa (NOBSA) formerly known as TABBA was established in 1973.
