{"id":42051,"date":"2018-08-06T10:48:06","date_gmt":"2018-08-06T08:48:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=42051"},"modified":"2018-08-06T10:48:06","modified_gmt":"2018-08-06T08:48:06","slug":"hlanganisa-institute-for-development-in-southern-africa-hidsa-new-position","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/hlanganisa-institute-for-development-in-southern-africa-hidsa-new-position.html","title":{"rendered":"Hlanganisa Institute for Development in Southern Africa (HIDSA) New Position"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hlanganisa Institute for Development in Southern Africa (HIDSA) is looking to fill the following position:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Advocacy and Communication Officer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>TCT R350 000<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><em>Reporting to the Programme Manager\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The role will include the following responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support the consultative process and lobbying activities for HIDSA\u2019s core programmatic work\/values<\/li>\n<li>Planning and implementation of awareness raising activities for various programme work and\/or campaigns<\/li>\n<li>Coordination and mobilisation of partners and relevant stakeholders in influencing public policy and government interventions as needed in various programmatic work<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the formulation of final reports to all donors, including the HIDSA\u2019s annual report<\/li>\n<li>Assists in the implementation of HIDSA\u2019s social marketing strategy<\/li>\n<li>Develop content and supervise the production process of the HIDSA\u2019s annual report and institutional materials<\/li>\n<li>Lead in identifying, packaging and pitching stories and public issues to put on digital platforms<\/li>\n<li>Liaising with media and identifying interventions to capacitate them as champions for HiDSA\u2019s work<\/li>\n<li>Support in writing stories related to programme and project developments as they relate to core programme issues<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with key stakeholders towards the advancement and strengthening of the programme related agenda.<\/li>\n<li>Represent the organisation at key events for the advancement and strengthening of our core work with a focus on gender-based work<\/li>\n<li>Provide advice and support to the Programme Team<\/li>\n<li>Implementation of key trends and issues regarding core work<\/li>\n<li>Provide advice and support to grantees through selected interventions\/interactions at HIDSA convening\u2019s, forums and platforms.<\/li>\n<li>Analyse and ensure that interventions are sensitive to women\u2019s leadership and core values in order to achieve progress in terms of inclusion of other groups that are marginalised in society.<\/li>\n<li>Support in updating and sharing recent developments and knowledge related to the field.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications and experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum of a post graduate tertiary education or equivalent is required in Development Studies, public policy or other relevant qualification<\/li>\n<li>At least five years\u2019 work experience in a similar environment<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of NGO\/NPO sector<\/li>\n<li>At least 3 years\u2019 experience in gender-related work, and GBV in particular<\/li>\n<li>Conversance with current debates on gender empowerment, gender identity and sexual orientation<\/li>\n<li>A valid driver\u2019s license and own car<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The ideal candidate should be<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Accurate and efficient<\/li>\n<li>Works independently and deadline driven<\/li>\n<li>Fluent in English<\/li>\n<li>A team player<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Interested candidates who meet the criteria can send a cover letter and latest CV to\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:admin@hlanganisa.org,za\">admin@hlanganisa.org.za<\/a><\/strong>, by close of business on <strong>17 August 2018.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hlanganisa Institute for Development in Southern Africa (HIDSA) is looking to fill the following position: Job Title:\u00a0Advocacy and Communication Officer TCT R350 000 Reporting to the Programme Manager\u00a0 The role&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1350,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[221],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
