{"id":42054,"date":"2018-08-07T09:00:25","date_gmt":"2018-08-07T07:00:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=42054"},"modified":"2018-08-06T11:08:30","modified_gmt":"2018-08-06T09:08:30","slug":"autism-western-cape-ongoing-recruitment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/autism-western-cape-ongoing-recruitment.html","title":{"rendered":"Autism Western Cape Ongoing Recruitment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Autism Western Cape (previously known as the Society for Autistic Children) is a nonprofit organisation that works to provide information and advisory, advocacy and support services to those affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in the Western Cape.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Locum Social Worker<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Mowbray, Cape Town<br \/>\n<strong>Duration:<\/strong> Three month fixed term contract<br \/>\n<strong>Start date:<\/strong> 3 September 2018<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provision of psycho social support and counselling to individuals, families and caregivers<\/li>\n<li>Manage a large number of clients<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Post diagnosis support and counselling at state hospitals and other accessible locations<\/li>\n<li>Where necessary to visit families in their own homes to support children, young people, and their families in their communities and in different living environments<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate and organise parent support group meetings and events<\/li>\n<li>Performance of all relevant administrative functions and maintaining of case\/client records<\/li>\n<li>Compile reports, making referrals, follow-up and reporting to authorities when necessary<\/li>\n<li>Keep abreast of policies and new developments in the fields of social work and social welfare<\/li>\n<li>Weekly, Monthly and Annual reporting as dictated by the Director<\/li>\n<li>Complete reporting requirements for the Department of Social Development<\/li>\n<li>Conduct research and needs analyses regarding services and resources<\/li>\n<li>Assist with training, advocacy work and capacity building of staff, clients and their families<\/li>\n<li>Assist clients to obtain legal documents to apply for all government grants and financial aid that are due to them<\/li>\n<li>Assist the director in fundraising and reporting to donors<\/li>\n<li>Assist the director in development of strategic plans<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Valid driver\u2019s licence<\/li>\n<li>Have obtained a Bachelor of Social Work degree<\/li>\n<li>Be a registered member of the SACPPS<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of two years of experience<\/li>\n<li>Experience in the disability sector will be a huge advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply please submit a CV to Alison at\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:director@awc.org.za\">admin@awc.org.za<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>10th August, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Autism Western Cape (previously known as the Society for Autistic Children) is a nonprofit organisation that works to provide information and advisory, advocacy and support services to those affected by&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1350,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[243],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
