A team of innovators who believe that access to education is one of the most important issues affecting South Africa today. Feenix offers a solution, which allows individuals and enterprises to donate money to universities on behalf of selected students to help them complete their studies.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Fundraiser<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Cape Town<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of this position is to raise funds for the Feenix platform and Feenix students through sourcing and developing financial partners with a focus on medium to large enterprises\/businesses.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<p>Prospect Research and Networking<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct prospect research for new financial relationships<\/li>\n<li>Screen potential relationships by alignment to short- and long-term organisational goals<\/li>\n<li>Identify and generate quality leads across funder generation activities (donor and non-donor)<\/li>\n<li>Attend relevant events, conferences and meetings to grow network base<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>New Funding Partner Solicitation<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Initiate contact with prospective corporates and enterprises<\/li>\n<li>Engage with new funding partners and cross sell the Feenix solution and brand<\/li>\n<li>Cultivate new and existing relationships and promote opportunities for involvement with new funders in all funder generating activities of Feenix<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the administration of new leads, funders and\/or partners<\/li>\n<li>Build funding pipeline<\/li>\n<li>Ensure funder engagement service satisfaction and good funder relationships exist<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Proposal Writing<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Write and submit customised funding and revenue generating proposals and grant applications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Progress Reports<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide accurate reporting and administration in line with management requirements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Innovation<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Suggest and support alternative \/ innovative funding mechanisms to increases sources of funding for Feenix<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of four to six years\u2019 working experience<\/li>\n<li>Proven track record in fundraising and\/or sales<\/li>\n<li>Proposal and reporting skills<\/li>\n<li>Administration and organisation skills<\/li>\n<li>Comfortable with presenting<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of the B-BBEE codes an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Experience in the innovation and tech space an advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply for this position, please send your CV and motivation letter to<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:leana@feenix.org\">leana@feenix.org<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>20th\u00a0August, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Feenix is a nonprofit organisation that rose out of the shared belief that education is vital to breaking the cycle of poverty.
