{"id":42101,"date":"2018-08-08T11:16:36","date_gmt":"2018-08-08T09:16:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=42101"},"modified":"2018-08-08T11:16:36","modified_gmt":"2018-08-08T09:16:36","slug":"sex-worker-education-and-advocacy-taskforce-sweat-new-job-position","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/sex-worker-education-and-advocacy-taskforce-sweat-new-job-position.html","title":{"rendered":"Sex Worker Education and Advocacy Taskforce (SWEAT) New Job Position"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sex Worker Education and Advocacy Taskforce (SWEAT) is a dynamic non-governmental organisation that addresses the health and human rights of sex workers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Finance and Operations Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Cape Town<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the position is to manage all the support functions for the programmatic work of SWEAT, it involves managing a team of 8 people working in administration, finance, operations and HR.<\/p>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Post-graduate qualifications in finance, administration or HR or some combination thereof<\/li>\n<li>Experience in a management position in an NGO, and unequivocal support for sex worker\u2019s rights<\/li>\n<li>Experience working with key and vulnerable populations or similar civil society settings as well as with the necessary technical expertise and experience<\/li>\n<li>Worked in a management position,\u00a0managing people and processes<\/li>\n<li>Experience in managing complex budgets and financial processes<\/li>\n<li>Have some experience in the areas outside of their core competency (i.e. finance, admin, HR)<\/li>\n<li>Ability to develop \u2018outside-the-box\u2019 ideas and strategies creating potential opportunities, and innovative approaches to allow these to be realised<\/li>\n<li>Supports flexibility by introducing procedures which ensure quick turnaround and encourage flexibility in others<\/li>\n<li>Addresses longer term performance problems openly and clearly states consequences while providing guidance and support as well as constructive criticism<\/li>\n<li>Communicates and gains team commitment to a vision of what is to be achieved<\/li>\n<li>Builds alliances and partnerships which are in the interests of SWEAT in the long and short term<\/li>\n<li>Must have\u00a0integrity, someone who loves working in a busy and challenging environment, who knows how to lead and motivate a team and who is excited by diversity<\/li>\n<li>Be committed to a collaborative management style and be comfortable in an environment that values all voices<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit \u00a0a cover letter, explaining their relevant experience (at least one page long) and CV to\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:emilyc@sweat.org.za\">emilyc@sweat.org.za<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and CC\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:moegamat@sweat.org.za\">moegamat@sweat.org.za<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Only those with the legal right to work in South Africa can apply.<\/p>\n<p>SWEAT reserves the right to make appointments which are transformation focused and prioritises sex-workers or former sex-workers in all positions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>17th August, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sex Worker Education and Advocacy Taskforce (SWEAT) is a dynamic non-governmental organisation that addresses the health and human rights of sex workers.
