This Scholarship is offered in three countries,\u00a0however the models differ in each country.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Scholarship Application Form 2018 For High School Placement In 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>South Africa \u2013<\/strong> The Scholarship is available to learners entering high school. Learners in Grade 6 may apply.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Botswana \/ Swaziland \u2013<\/strong> This Scholarship is available to Grade 12 learners who need a post-Matric to gain access to a South African University. Please apply through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.allangrayorbis.org\/entrepreneurship-development-programmes\/fellowship\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fellowship<\/a>\u00a0page.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Here is the full list of our partner placement schools:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Eastern Cape:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Clarendon High School for Girls<\/li>\n<li>Selborne College High School<\/li>\n<li>Collegiate Girls\u2019 High School<\/li>\n<li>Grey High School<\/li>\n<li>St Andrew\u2019s College (Grahamstown)<\/li>\n<li>Diocesan School for Girls<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Gauteng<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>St Alban\u2019s College<\/li>\n<li>King Edward VII School<\/li>\n<li>St Andrew\u2019s School for Girls<\/li>\n<li>St Mary\u2019s School, Waverly<\/li>\n<li>St Stithians College<\/li>\n<li>Roedean School (SA)<\/li>\n<li>Pretoria Boys High School<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>KwaZulu-Natal:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Michaelhouse<\/li>\n<li>Epworth Independent High School<\/li>\n<li>Pietermaritzburg Girls\u2019 High School<\/li>\n<li>Maritzburg College<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Western Cape:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bishops Diocesan College<\/li>\n<li>St Cyprian\u2019s High School<\/li>\n<li>Rustenburg Girls\u2019 High School<\/li>\n<li>Rondebosch Boys\u2019 High School<\/li>\n<li>Rhenish Girls\u2019 High School<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>THE CRITERIA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For South Africa:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applicant has to be a South African citizen<\/li>\n<li>Applicant must be in Grade 6 this year (2018) to apply<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of 70% in English and mathematics (Grade 5-6)<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of 70% in Numeracy and Literacy in the Foundation\u2019s Scholarship exam. (After the application\u00a0process, we select eligible candidates and invite them to write the Scholarship exam. We then use the<br \/>\nexam results with the primary school results to shortlist for interviews.)<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate financial need<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate the following entrepreneurial characteristics<\/li>\n<li>Intellectual Imagination: enjoys being creative and innovative<\/li>\n<li>Achievement Excellence: sets high standards for self<\/li>\n<li>Courageous Commitment: must be courageous and determined, brave and persistent<\/li>\n<li>Spirit of Significance: wants to impact others and make a difference<\/li>\n<li>Personal Initiative: prepared to take action to address challenges<\/li>\n<li>All applicants will receive an SMS to acknowledge receipt of their application within a month after the closing date.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants will be shortlisted based on academic performance and financial need.<\/li>\n<li>Successful candidates will be called within two months after the closing date and invited to write an exam. Unsuccessful applicants will be notified via sms.<\/li>\n<li>Succesful candidates will be invited for interviews. One-on-one interviews take place between January and March 2019<\/li>\n<li>Thereafter, successful candidates will be invited to for psychometric testing<\/li>\n<li>If successful at the psychometric phase, the Foundation will recommend the candidates to the placement schools.<\/li>\n<li>Recommended candidates will be invited to the placement schools for interviews.<\/li>\n<li>Candidates whose recommendations are approved by the placement schools will be awarded the Scholarship.<\/li>\n<li>Once the Scholarship is awarded, the Foundation, placement school and the Scholar\u2019s custodian sign a Memorandum of Agreement.<\/li>\n<li>All successful candidates will know which school they will be attending the following year by August 2019.<\/li>\n<li>From the interview stage to psychometric testing and final selection, all communication takes place via telephone.
