It seeks to spark and embed a culture of reading across South Africa, so that reading, writing, and sharing stories \u2013 in all South African languages \u2013 is part of everyday life.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Personal Assistant<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:<\/strong> Western Cape<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the Personal Assistant (PA) is to work closely with the MD and GM to provide administrative support and ensure best use of time by dealing with secretarial and administrative tasks.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Arrange travel, accommodation and general logistical support<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements<\/li>\n<li>Organise and maintain electronic diaries, including managing scheduled appointments with partners, funders and internal staff<\/li>\n<li>Act as a point of contact at all times particularly in MD and GM\u2019s absence, including meeting preparation, attendance and minute-taking when required and appropriate<\/li>\n<li>Deal with incoming email, often corresponding on behalf of MD and GM when required and appropriate<\/li>\n<li>Carry out background research and presenting findings around various tasks<\/li>\n<li>Produce documents, reports and presentations as guided by the MD and GM<\/li>\n<li>Conduct follow up conversations with internal staff and partners on outstanding matters needing attention as guided by MD and GM<\/li>\n<li>Arrange and prepare any paper-work due for signing, coding and approval<\/li>\n<li>General administrative support for department heads as guided by MD and GM<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Matric certificate<\/li>\n<li>Secretarial or any other related qualification is desirable<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of two to three years\u2019 experience in administrative work<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li>Organisational, problem-solving, and time management skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to multi-task and solve problems<\/li>\n<li>Meticulous attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Computer literate<\/li>\n<li>Valid Driver\u2019s license<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit your motivational letter and CV to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:work@nalibali.org\"><strong>work@nalibali.org<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a>with your name and surname, position title on the subject line, (e.g. Joe Soap: PA to MD_GM)<\/p>\n<p>Note that feedback will be provided to shortlisted candidates only.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>30 August, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nal\u2019ibali (isiXhosa for \u201chere\u2019s the story\u201d) is a national reading-for-enjoyment campaign.
