The programme also aims to support children to influence Local, Provincial and National Governance to ensure their survival, learning and protection.<\/p>\n<p>Through this programme, SCSA intends to push for increased public investment in children and reduction of violence against children in both school and home settings.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Financial Officer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Limpopo Provincial Office (Polokwane)<br \/>\n<strong>Grade:<\/strong> Grade 4<br \/>\n<strong>Duration:\u00a0<\/strong>36 Months<br \/>\n<strong>Reports to:\u00a0<\/strong>Provincial Manager<br \/>\n<strong>Child Protection Level:\u00a0<\/strong>2<br \/>\n<strong>Travel Requirements:\u00a0<\/strong>On a need in support of the Limpopo Provincial office<br \/>\n<strong>Budget Responsibilities:\u00a0<\/strong>None<br \/>\n<strong>Asset Responsibilities:\u00a0<\/strong>Own assets and those used by others<\/p>\n<p><strong>Purpose of the Job<\/strong><br \/>\nWe are looking for a Finance Officer to take charge of the financial management of our company by administering accounting operations and practice to meet legal requirements. The purpose of this role is to provide technical financial support and financial administration for the provincial office, as well as all the projects and programmes in the Province taking into consideration the Financial Management Act and the SCSA financial policy and procurement policy.<br \/>\nUltimately, the finance Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our financial transactions and procedures.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Administer daily cash flow requirement for office &amp; projects\u00a0<em>(Keep accurate records for all daily transactions)<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Process invoices, properly referencing, organizing and filling payment vouchers and supporting documents<\/li>\n<li>Ensure books are balanced on a weekly basis (income and Expenditure GL)<\/li>\n<li>Support programmes in preparation and submission of cash flow projections in line with the approved plans<\/li>\n<li>Submit month end and year end returns to head office in Pretoria<\/li>\n<li>Review monthly Financial monitoring sheet per project to identify budget alignment, e.g. over and underspending, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring adherence to payment protocol &amp; process, including all supporting documents<\/li>\n<li>Archiving the financial and grant documents as per retention schedule.<\/li>\n<li>Review and implement organisation financial policies<\/li>\n<li>Assist with budget preparation and budget monitoring<\/li>\n<li>Participate in financial audits<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>BEHAVIOUR AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES (Save the Children values in Practice)<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Accountability:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Holds self-accountable for making decisions, managing resources efficiently, achieving and role modelling Save the Children values<\/li>\n<li>Holds colleagues accountable to deliver on their responsibilities &#8212; giving them the freedom to deliver in the best way they see fit, providing the necessary development to improve performance and applying appropriate consequences when results are not achieved.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Ambition:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Future oriented thinks strategically and on a global scale<\/li>\n<li>Focused on achieving external impact for the campaign<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Collaboration:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Clear ability to understand other people\u2019s perspective and address reasonable concerns and needs<\/li>\n<li>Builds and maintains effective relationships with colleagues, members and external partners<\/li>\n<li>Approachable, good listener, easy to talk to<\/li>\n<li>Values diversity, sees it as a source of competitive strength<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Creativity:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develops and encourages new and innovative solutions<\/li>\n<li>Willing to take disciplined risks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Integrity:<\/strong><br \/>\nHonest, encourages openness and transparency; demonstrates highest levels of integrity<br \/>\n<strong>Ubuntu:\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nWe endeavour to treat everyone with respect, empathy and compassion.<br \/>\n<strong>Passion:<\/strong><br \/>\nWe value passion, determination, perseverance and the sense of urgency.
