Experience in the Early Childhood development skills and experience preferable.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Training Materials Development and Adult Learning Specialist\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Johannesburg<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duration:<\/strong> Full Time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Travel:<\/strong> Around South Africa to the various SmartStart sites, although the majority of current work would be in JHB, as well as be available for running week long training sessions when required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Start date:<\/strong> Immediate \u2013 September 2018<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reports to:<\/strong> Early Learning Programme Manager<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design and development of learning interventions and materials for the SmartStart Network<\/li>\n<li>Training of trainers to ensure they are equipped to facilitate learning as intended<\/li>\n<li>Quality assurance of learning interventions<\/li>\n<li>Leveraging new adult learning technologies for all target groups in SmartStart network<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with the Trainer Manager to ensure that all infield implementers of learning interventions, are adequately equipped to deliver<\/li>\n<li>Monitor infield implementations to assure quality, in field experience should inform continuous updates and improvements of learning interventions where necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Conceptualise, design and develop appropriate (evidence based) learning interventions (and associated collateral) for target groups in the network, in partnership with Early Learning Programme Lead and Network lead, as required.\u00a0*(Target groups include: SmartStarters, principals, parents and caregivers, Club Leaders, Club Coaches, Franchisors, Hub Team Members)<\/li>\n<li>Conceptualise, design and develop learning platforms for the network in partnership with Early Learning Programme Lead<\/li>\n<li>Work with branding team to ensure all learning materials and collateral reflect the SmartStart brand tone, look and feel and brand values<\/li>\n<li>Pilot learning interventions in field and adjust to ensure achievement of learning outcomes<\/li>\n<li>Train trainers to ensure that they are equipped to facilitate learning as intended<\/li>\n<li>Conduct quality assurance visits to ensure that learning is facilitated as intended<\/li>\n<li>Work with Trainer Manager to continuously improve all adult learning interventions<\/li>\n<li>Update Trainer Guides as needed<\/li>\n<li>Innovate and leverage learning technologies for scale and impact<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Accountable for<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The quality of learning interventions<\/li>\n<li>The quality of learning materials and collateral<\/li>\n<li>Adequately equipping trainers to deliver and facilitate learning interventions<\/li>\n<li>Consolidating learning from field and making appropriate updates in response to learning<\/li>\n<li>Keeping all Trainer Guides up to date<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Measures of success<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Satisfied learners (learning evaluation forms)<\/li>\n<li>Effective Practice of target groups<\/li>\n<li>Affordable solutions (as per budgets)<\/li>\n<li>Brand aligned materials<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Committed to the purpose of SmartStart<\/li>\n<li>Passionate about adult learning<\/li>\n<li>Driven by results<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of scalable delivery<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage detail<\/li>\n<li>Creative learning intervention design skills<\/li>\n<li>Advanced facilitation skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to inspire, develop and lead SmartStart trainers to deliver transformational learning interventions<\/li>\n<li>Supplier management (creative design, production teams etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work in a team<\/li>\n<li>Desire to learn from the field to keep current and purposeful<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Experience<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be in possession of a Bachelors\u2019 degree and a valid driver\u2019s license<\/li>\n<li>Learning intervention design experience<\/li>\n<li>Extensive facilitation experience<\/li>\n<li>Early childhood development content knowledge preferable<\/li>\n<li>SETA accreditation experience preferable but not<\/li>\n<li>Preferably QA experience but not essential<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, send CV and covering letter (indicating salary
