Amandla facilitates the Philippi Collective Network, a cross-sector group that fosters a community-driven approach to improving learner wellbeing and education outcomes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Project Coordinator<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Cape Town<br \/>\n<strong>Start date:<\/strong> 1 October<\/p>\n<p>The Community Solutions Programme is Amandla\u2019s programme for improving the quality and accessibility of cradle-to-career supports in the community. The Community Solutions Coordinator works with members of the collective network to use the data we collect to improve and align their services. The Coordinator will work with collective network members to identify barriers to successful completion of the cradle-to-career journey (whether in school or outside school) and develop strategies and collaborative projects to remove those barriers.<\/p>\n<p>The successful candidate will be responsible for regular liaising with collective network members, facilitating our working groups to develop collaborations, and working closely with the Data Coordinator to ensure projects are evidence-based and that our network is utilising the best information possible for developing a strong web of care across the community for all of Philippi&#8217;s young people. Because our work is cross-sector, candidates with experience in more than one area (i.e., health, education) will be highly-valued. There will be regular reporting to funders and the community of both quantitative measures of change and of change stories with young people.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Report to the Project Manager and facilitate Community Solutions\u00a0activities<\/li>\n<li>Work with our organisation partners to develop and implement their collaborations<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that working group projects are fully developed with log frames and milestones<\/li>\n<li>Liaise regularly with our organisation partners, ensuring their continued connection to the collective mission<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate working groups<\/li>\n<li>Develop new working groups<\/li>\n<li>Write reports<\/li>\n<li>Data capture<\/li>\n<li>Able to meet deadlines consistently<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate the development of Amandla\u2019s shared measures system within the network<\/li>\n<li>Manage the project budget for Community Solutions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum two years in similar role<\/li>\n<li>Strong background in facilitation with both adults and youth<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated\u00a0project development experience<\/li>\n<li>Experience working in a township setting<\/li>\n<li>Fluency\u00a0in isiXhosa a must<\/li>\n<li>Experience in community development<\/li>\n<li>A valid driver&#8217;s license<\/li>\n<li>Outstanding written and oral communication and interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li>Proficient in Microsoft Office, including basic Excel<\/li>\n<li>Interest in education, health, and social development<\/li>\n<li>Flexible<\/li>\n<li>Ability and willingness to multitask and manage shifting deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Highly motivated and energetic<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently or without direct supervision<\/li>\n<li>Strong problem-solving abilities<\/li>\n<li>Basic financial management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit CV, (two pages maximum), a one-page motivational letter outlining your experience,\u00a0most recent salary and salary expectations\u00a0to<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:info@amandladev.org\">info@amandladev.org<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>with \u201cCommunity Solutions Coordinator\u201d in the subject line.<\/p>\n<p>Any applications not including all the requested information will not be considered.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>4th\u00a0September, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Amandla Development is a nonprofit organisation that works to empower South African youth with equal access to quality education opportunities.
