{"id":42409,"date":"2018-08-27T12:38:59","date_gmt":"2018-08-27T10:38:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=42409"},"modified":"2018-08-27T12:59:25","modified_gmt":"2018-08-27T10:59:25","slug":"healthy-living-alliance-heala-new-ongoing-recruitment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/healthy-living-alliance-heala-new-ongoing-recruitment.html","title":{"rendered":"Healthy Living Alliance (HEALA) New Ongoing Recruitment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>HEALA\u00a0(Healthy Living Alliance) is an alliance of non-governmental<br \/>\norganisations\u00a0with a mission to improve the health of an increasingly obese South Africa.\u00a0HEALA\u00a0currently has 11 member organisations, namely the Health Promotion and Development Foundation; Khulisa Social Solutions; Rural Health Advocacy Project (RHAP), Section 27, South African Dentist Association, SA Paediatric Association, Society for Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetes of SA (SEMDSA),\u00a0Motse&#8217;s\u00a0Bone Vitality Centre, Treatment Action Campaign (TAC), Amandla.mobi,\u00a0Dietetic Association.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Campaigns coordinator<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Johannesburg<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the Campaigns Coordinator responsible for development and implementation of HEALA\u2019s advocacy and campaigns strategy. He\/she will work closely with the Executive Director and communications consultant to develop and implement media strategies to achieve the communications objectives and further the policy advocacy goals.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage the development and implementation of HEALA\u2019s advocacy and campaigns strategy<\/li>\n<li>Actively engage in influencing work with policy makers, parliamentarians and other key stakeholders for the achievement of policy and campaign objectives<\/li>\n<li>Together with HEALA staff members HEAL policy positions and responses on relevant health promotion and social issues related to obesity and undernutrition<\/li>\n<li>Keep HEALA up to date on nutrition and obesity issues and advise the alliance leadership on policy positioning related to these<\/li>\n<li>Build an alliance of like-minded organisations into the Healthy Living Alliance<\/li>\n<li>Build networks with other civil society organisations concerned with access to healthy food and water, and engage with government departments when necessary<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with HEALA executive director to manage and\u00a0ensure that budgets are formulated correctly and are in line with campaign strategies and donor requirements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be experienced in the use of both traditional and new campaign strategies and social media as a tool to advocate for policy change and implementation<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of three to five years\u2019 relevant experience advocacy campaigns<\/li>\n<li>Strong programme or project management experience<\/li>\n<li>Fine attention to details, and ability to deliver project goals in a timely fashion<\/li>\n<li>Writing, speaking, and editing skills<\/li>\n<li>Thinks \u201coutside the box\u201d,\u00a0takes an interest in new ideas and new ways of doing things<\/li>\n<li>Works collaboratively with colleagues to achieve organisational goals and is willing to learn from others<\/li>\n<li>Flexibility, focused organisational skills, and good humor required to handle multiple tasks in fast-paced environment<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of and proficiency with a variety of computer software applications including Microsoft (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit a CV and application letter to Charity at\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:info@health-e.org.za\">info@health-e.org.za<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applications will only be accepted from candidates who are eligible to work in SA.<\/p>\n<p>Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>14th\u00a0September, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>HEALA\u00a0(Healthy Living Alliance) is an alliance of non-governmental organisations\u00a0with a mission to improve the health of an increasingly obese South Africa.\u00a0HEALA\u00a0currently has 11 member organisations, namely the Health Promotion and&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1350,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[243],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
