The International Training and Education Center for Health (I-TECH) is a United States of America federally-funded project which supports the development of HIV\/AIDS care and treatment training initiatives in 25 developing countries acutely impacted by the global AIDS epidemic. I-TECH is an initiative of the University of Washington Schools of Medicine and Public Health & Community Medicine. Its Central Office is headquartered in Seattle, Washington and it currently supports ten international offices, including one in Pretoria, South Africa.<\/p>\n
I-TECH South Africa Goal:\u00a0<\/strong> Job Title:\u00a0Health Information Systems Advisor<\/strong> Brief Summary of Position:\u00a0<\/strong> The Advisor will also be responsible for overseeing the implementing and monitoring of SkillSMART, a web-based database for tracking training at a national and provincial level; and the PEPFAR Human Resources Information Database by providing management support to the team. She\/he will provide input on user functionality and design improvements for upcoming system redesigns. \nI-TECH is seeking to appoint a Health Information Systems (HIS) Advisor who will strengthen I-TECH\u2019s capacity and expertise in the areas of HIS collection, analysis, visualization and dissemination. Under the direction of I-TECH\u2019s Director of Strategic Information, the Advisor will work with I-TECH staff in Pretoria and Seattle to lead the analysis and dissemination and support the implementation of I-TECH initiatives by creating innovative and cost-effective methods of contemporary and inventive data outputs, including dashboards and interactive maps.<\/p>\n\n
