Focus on leading Skateistan South Africa\u2019s Educational team through keen and creative management and\u00a0ongoing staff development opportunities to enable them to provide students with the best possible educational experiences, including; knowledge and understanding of educational best practices, teaching methodology, and positive youth development.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Create and oversee education programs: themes, teaching strategies, and implementation \u2013<\/li>\n<li>according to Skateistan\u2019s values and mission (ensure activities are creative and fun)<\/li>\n<li>Organise workshops and training, for both students and staff, related to education and sport:\n<ul>\n<li>Oversee internal training on best practices<\/li>\n<li>Connect with external training partners to deliver training goals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Adapt curriculum and instruction to meet the specific needs of students with disabilities,<\/li>\n<li>whether they be physical, developmental, emotional or behavioural<\/li>\n<li>Communicate with other organisations\/partners<\/li>\n<li>Seek out and create connections and collaborations with other creative nonprofits and artists<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with event coordinators to incorporate art making and displays at Skateistan and<\/li>\n<li>external events to further promote Skateistan\u2019s programmes<\/li>\n<li>Manage incoming and outgoing emails and related correspondence<\/li>\n<li>Create policies related to programs as required<\/li>\n<li>Manage programmes budget including procuring supplies for all programs materials<\/li>\n<li>Organisation all programmes-related documents on the appropriate shared folder and updating<\/li>\n<li>regularly<\/li>\n<li>Accountable for each semester\u2019s lesson plans and structured skateboarding curriculum<\/li>\n<li>Accountable for student administration and registration<\/li>\n<li>Accountable for scheduling of teachers and volunteers for classroom lessons, ensuring the<\/li>\n<li>correct ratio of experienced and inexperienced staff<\/li>\n<li>Accountable for organisation and maintenance of education supplies and classroom needs, as<\/li>\n<li>well as keeping an inventory of materials and tools<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Programs Monitoring and Reporting:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Overall planning and monitoring of sport and education curriculum<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and assess quality control of programs<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and evaluate students\u2019 learning achievements<\/li>\n<li>Document classroom sessions in coordination with media department<\/li>\n<li>Monitor student blog, advising on content such as: new classes, student quotes, liaison with\u00a0media department<\/li>\n<li>Observe teacher performance and classroom monitoring<\/li>\n<li>Write and collaborate on weekly reports with General Manager, Community Educator<\/li>\n<li>Oversee data entry and record keeping on Salesforce<\/li>\n<li>Create and deliver reports on program process and final result for individual educational\u00a0activities, as requested, including student statistics and analysis on effectiveness and challenges<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Training:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Train staff \/ volunteers, especially local, in teaching methods and other skills so they can take on\u00a0more responsibilities<\/li>\n<li>Accountable for organisations of weekly Programmes weekly meetings, preparation of summaries\u00a0of actions to be taken, tracking of progress on planned issues<\/li>\n<li>Accountable for ensuring creative, skateboarding or sports workshops at least once per week\u00a0for staff\/volunteers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor degree in the field of education, child psychology, or other relevant subject<\/li>\n<li>Masters Degree in the field of Education or Social Work is desirable<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of four years\u2019 experience in teaching\/training field<\/li>\n<li>Two year experience in a management position<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of theories in the field of \u2018Sports and Development\u2019 and \u2018International<\/li>\n<li>Development\u2019<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in other languages desirable, especially a local language (Proficient computer skills<\/li>\n<li>using G Suite, Slack, Microsoft Office, and presentation software such as Prezi, PowToon<\/li>\n<li>Interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with people in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity<\/li>\n<li>Knowledgeable and passionate about skateboarding and youth culture<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge in creative facilitation methods<\/li>\n<li>Fluency, both written and spoken, in English and other local language<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge in creative facilitation methods<\/li>\n<li>Communication, public speaking, and strategic planning skills required<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage a team<\/li>\n<li>Experience developing engaging visual and written training materials<\/li>\n<li>Ability to handle high-stress situations in a calm manner<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, tasks efficiently<\/li>\n<li>Committed to
