The organisation\u2019s core concern is to protect children who are at risk.\u00a0 This includes neglected, abused, abandoned and orphaned children, a large majority of whom are either infected or affected by HIV\/AIDS.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Executive Director<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Salary:<\/strong> R450 000 to R500 000 dependent on experience and qualifications<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the position is to provide inspiring leadership both internally and externally, delivering transformational cultural change and strategic renewal. Accountable to the CWDD Board, the Director will lead the organisation\u00a0in continuing to speak truth to power, while rebuilding the confidence of our staff, partners and the public.<\/p>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum qualification (bachelor\u2019s degree, MBA or similar)<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of five years\u2019 experience in Director \/ Snr Management position<\/li>\n<li>Proven track record in terms\u00a0of business turn-around<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of all facets of management including finances, fund raising and donor relations.<\/li>\n<li>Written and verbal skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to interact with staff and unions representatives<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Leadership qualities and must be able to manage and motivate staff to perform at peak<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to make difficult and strategic decisions in line with organisations mission, vision\u00a0and core values<\/li>\n<li>Experience in strategic management and implementation.<\/li>\n<li>Appointment subject to results of psychometric testing of shortlisted candidates<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit a comprehensive CV and motivating letter to<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:President@cwdd.org.za\">President@cwdd.org.za<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>quoting\u00a0Ref: cwdd Directors Post in the subject line.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong>\u00a07th September, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Child Welfare Durban and District is a nonprofit organisation that provides a wide range of services to children, their families and communities in the Durban and Umlazi areas.
