{"id":42577,"date":"2018-09-04T12:57:17","date_gmt":"2018-09-04T10:57:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=42577"},"modified":"2018-09-04T12:59:22","modified_gmt":"2018-09-04T10:59:22","slug":"childline-south-africa-new-job-vacancy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/childline-south-africa-new-job-vacancy.html","title":{"rendered":"Childline South Africa New Job Vacancy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Childline South Africa is a nonprofit organisation that works collectively to protect children from all forms of violence and to create a culture of children&#8217;s rights in South Africa.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Senior\u00a0Social Worker<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Limpopo<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong> Negotiable<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the Senior Social Worker is to coordinate parenting programmes and child protection programmes, Supervise Auxiliary Social workers and manage day to day office function.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinate the implementation of parenting programmes and ensure targets are reached : Teen Parenting and Hands on parenting programmes<\/li>\n<li>Supervise and support of employees<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and Evaluate, data collection, handling, management and validation<\/li>\n<li>Complete administration work such as case recordings, monthly reports and registers<\/li>\n<li>Manage office administration work, transport registers, invoices and office car<\/li>\n<li>Network, Collaborate\u00a0and maintain a good relationship with a multi-disciplinary team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Social Work qualification<\/li>\n<li>Registered with the SACSSP<\/li>\n<li>Valid driver\u2019s licence advantageous<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in both speaking and writing of Setswana, Venda and English<\/li>\n<li>Computer proficiency<\/li>\n<li>Wiliness to travel, work after hours and weekends<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of five years\u2019 experience as a Senior Social Worker<\/li>\n<li>Experience in conducting group work, working with youths and parents<\/li>\n<li>Experience in working in the NGO field<\/li>\n<li>Background experience, training on Parenting programmes and Child protection programmes will be an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of sexual reproductive health and HIV\/AIDS and different forms of abuse is essential<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of The Children\u2019s Act<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of the districts \/ area of operation<\/li>\n<li>Background of being a parent or a direct caregiver to a child<\/li>\n<li>Counselling skills and presentation skills<\/li>\n<li>Leadership skills and ability to lead, guide, supervise and mentor people<\/li>\n<li>Well-developed social and team interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to interact comfortably and effectively with people from different backgrounds<\/li>\n<li>Report writing skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit a\u00a0CV with traceable and contactable references and certified copies of qualifications to\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:admin@childlinesa.org.za\">admin@childlinesa.org.za<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.<\/p>\n<p>Non-South African applicants must be in possession of a valid work permit.<\/p>\n<p>If you have not heard from the organisation within 30 days, consider your application unsuccessful.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>11th September, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Childline South Africa is a nonprofit organisation that works collectively to protect children from all forms of violence and to create a culture of children&#8217;s rights in South Africa.
