{"id":42616,"date":"2018-09-06T12:36:18","date_gmt":"2018-09-06T10:36:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=42616"},"modified":"2018-09-06T12:36:18","modified_gmt":"2018-09-06T10:36:18","slug":"joburg-child-welfare-new-opening-available","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/joburg-child-welfare-new-opening-available.html","title":{"rendered":"Jo&#8217;burg Child Welfare New Opening Available"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jo\u2019burg Child Welfare provides care services, adoption and fostering, abuse treatment and prevention, rights advocacy and learning to children and their families across Johannesburg.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Adherence Counsellor or Linkage officer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Johannesburg<br \/>\n<strong>Start date:<\/strong> 10 September 2018<br \/>\n<strong>Duration:<\/strong> Seven months&#8217; contract<br \/>\n<strong>Reports to:<\/strong> Social worker<\/p>\n<p>The Adherence Counsellor \/ Linkage officer will be responsible for follow up and linkage to care and adherence to PEP.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<p>PEP<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support the psychological well-being of survivors of sexual abuse throughout the 28-day PEP treatment and also to manage PEP side effects<\/li>\n<li>Implement and facilitate support groups with survivors<\/li>\n<li>Include families in the PEP adherence support process<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>ART<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support clients who have tested HIV positive to attend the health facility to seek ART initiation<\/li>\n<li>Support clients who have initiated ART to adhere<\/li>\n<li>Include families in the ART adherence support process<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>General<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide further information and education to survivors to ensure they have thorough knowledge and understanding of the drug regimen\/s<\/li>\n<li>Improve\/strengthen the mechanism for verifying successful referrals to health facilities and outcomes<\/li>\n<li>Provide further information and education to clients to ensure they have thorough knowledge and understanding of HIV \/ ART\/ SRH \/ PEP<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Social Auxiliary Work qualification<\/li>\n<li>Time management skills<\/li>\n<li>Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Package<\/li>\n<li>Creative skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit your applications to the HR Administrator at\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:hr@jhbchildwelfare.org.za\">hr@jhbchildwelfare.org.za<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>6th September, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jo\u2019burg Child Welfare provides care services, adoption and fostering, abuse treatment and prevention, rights advocacy and learning to children and their families across Johannesburg.
