Cost to company<br \/>\n<strong>Report to: \u00a0<\/strong>ALPS Resilience\u2019s Finance Office<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the position is to support programme and operational staff in bookkeeping, finance, budgeting, reporting and compensation.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<p>Finance<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bookkeeping to Trial Balance stage<\/li>\n<li>Monthly bank reconciliation<\/li>\n<li>Monthly Creditors \/ Debtors reporting<\/li>\n<li>Payroll administration and maintenance<\/li>\n<li>Assist with preparation and monitoring of project budgets<\/li>\n<li>Prepare internal control documentation relevant to all payments, receipts, purchase orders, staff leave, and all other approvals and authorisations<\/li>\n<li>Compile financial reports for projects<\/li>\n<li>Assist with the finance and budgeting aspects of grant-writing<\/li>\n<li>Learn financial reporting requirements expected by funders<\/li>\n<li>Compile financial reporting to donors with programme staff for submission by Financial Officer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Procurement<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and implement a local procurement system for equipment and supplies to support activities in accordance with ALPS procurement procedures<\/li>\n<li>Identify international procurement requirements by donors and submit requests to the Finance Officer for action<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bookkeeping diploma\/certificate or Matric plus five years Bookkeeping to TB<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of three years\u2019 relevant experience in the NGO environment<\/li>\n<li>Strong time management, planning, organising and interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li>Great attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Experience working in an NGO with multiple international funders<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience managing donor funds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit your CV and cover letter to<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:info@resilience.africa\">info@resilience.africa<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>17th September, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ALPS Resilience implements and manages education-based projects amongst the most marginalised communities to strengthen their ability to respond to, withstand and recover from adverse situations.
