The Organisation work to ensure that the political and electoral systems are open, fair and accountable to the public and that they remain relevant in the changing South African socio-political context.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Director<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Cape Town<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and implement MVC\u2019s strategic vision and strategy in partnership with the MVC team<\/li>\n<li>Lead and manage the implementation of MVC\u2019s activities<\/li>\n<li>Ensure accurate financial management of MVC\u2019s financial resources<\/li>\n<li>Manage MVC\u2019s donor relationships, including writing proposals and donor reporting<\/li>\n<li>Build and maintain MVC\u2019s relationships with our stakeholders in all relevant sectors<\/li>\n<li>Represent MVC in various fora, including engaging with parliament, political parties, government, civil society organisations, the media and our funding partners<\/li>\n<li>Support and manage the MVC team within an organisational culture that is just, fair and considerate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Bachelor\u2019s degree in law, political science, public policy, international relations or any other relevant social science qualification, with at least three years\u2019 work experience<\/li>\n<li>Show demonstrable leadership ability and a commitment towards social justice<\/li>\n<li>Experience in financial management and budgetary oversight of an organisation<\/li>\n<li>Experience in leading inter-disciplinary programmes and human resource management<\/li>\n<li>Research and writing skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit your CV, a motivation letter, two reference letters and a sample of written work to<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:janine@myvotecounts.org.za\">janine@myvotecounts.org.za<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>include \u201cMVC Director Application\u201d in the subject heading<\/p>\n<p>Interviews for shortlisted candidates will take place on 18 October 2018.<\/p>\n<p>For more about My Vote Counts, refer to\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.myvotecounts.org.za\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.myvotecounts.org.za<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>5th October, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My Vote Counts NPC is a nonprofit organisation that improves the accountability, transparency and inclusiveness of elections and politics in the Republic of South Africa.
