Through a combination of interventions, GBT on average, assists between 16 000 to 20 000 beneficiaries a year. GBT core focus is to remove the obstacles and barriers that prevent children from finding their light and helping them to Shine.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Fundraising Consultant<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>KwaZulu-Natal<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong> Competitive basic salary plus incentives and medical Aid, pension, life and disability cover benefits<br \/>\n<strong>Reports to:<\/strong> Regional Fundraising Manager<\/p>\n<p>This is a permanent position<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Attract new sponsorships and donations<\/li>\n<li>Solicit and keep face to face appointments with donors<\/li>\n<li>Attend networking functions<\/li>\n<li>Produce a targeted number of fundraising proposals per month<\/li>\n<li>Service a donor portfolio<\/li>\n<li>Meet donor requirements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous selling experience would be advantageous but is not a necessity<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of five years\u2019 general work experience (preferably in fundraising)<\/li>\n<li>Self-motivated and mature<\/li>\n<li>Abilities to work independently and within a team environment<\/li>\n<li>Valid driver\u2019s licence<\/li>\n<li>Like to work with people face to face and telephonically<\/li>\n<li>Computer literacy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, \u00a0submit CV and one page motivation letter to<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"mailto:mpillay@gbtown.org.za\"><strong>mpillay@gbtown.org.za<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>24th September 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Established in 1958, Girls and Boys Town (GBT) is a national nonprofit organisation that runs proven and successful programmes to strengthen vulnerable youth.
