{"id":42871,"date":"2018-09-21T11:41:43","date_gmt":"2018-09-21T09:41:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=42871"},"modified":"2018-09-21T11:41:43","modified_gmt":"2018-09-21T09:41:43","slug":"southsouthnorth-new-ongoing-recruitment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/southsouthnorth-new-ongoing-recruitment.html","title":{"rendered":"SouthSouthNorth New Ongoing Recruitment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SouthSouthNorth is a nonprofit organisation working on projects that promote\u00a0sustainable development and address climate change.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Knowledge Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Cape Town<br \/>\n<strong>Remuneration:<\/strong> R25 000<br \/>\n<strong>Duration:<\/strong> One year fixed-term contract with potential to renew<br \/>\n<strong>Start date:<\/strong> As soon as possible<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the position will involve supporting the\u00a0team in knowledge- and communications-related responsibilities for SSN programmes.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conceptualise and implement knowledge management and communications strategies for SSN programmes<\/li>\n<li>Produce knowledge products, including publications, videos, podcasts etc<\/li>\n<li>Write blogs \/ stories<\/li>\n<li>Format, edit and proofread documents<\/li>\n<li>Content planning and website updates (via a WordPress or similar back-end)<\/li>\n<li>Social media planning (via Hoot suite or similar)<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with service providers e.g. designers, videographers, web developers, printers<\/li>\n<li>Tend to media organisation requests, writing and disseminating press releases, maintaining SSN\u2019s media\u00a0contacts database<\/li>\n<li>Brand and market SSN programmes and materials<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate SSN\u2019s presence at external events and liaise with media \/ journalists attending<\/li>\n<li>Mail list management and newsletter production and dissemination (via Salesforce, Mail chimp or similar)<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to SSN\u2019s learning strategy and manage company databases and image archive<\/li>\n<li>Monitor analytics and dissemination of materials \/ content<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in English, communications, journalism or social science (including international development, political\u00a0science or economics) or natural science (including biology, environmental science or geography)<\/li>\n<li>Professional experience (at least three years) in knowledge management, communications, marketing<\/li>\n<li>A strong grounding in climate change and\/or international development<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail, and planning, administration and organisational skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to task-swop efficiently<\/li>\n<li>English verbal and written communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to travel within Africa and internationally<\/li>\n<li>Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, database and website software, and technology and social media friendly<\/li>\n<li>Photography and video skills, proficiency in visual storytelling and graphic design<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of French and\/or Spanish<\/li>\n<li>A thorough understanding of delivering communications campaigns within a nonprofit as well as within the international development \/ climate change arenas<\/li>\n<li>Relationships with global and regional (Africa) media outlets<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, complete the following Google form and upload your C.V and cover letter via\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/forms\/4a0uHbHgp7Zqvo2x2\">this link<\/a><\/p>\n<p>No late applications will be permitted and we will\u00a0contact shortlisted candidates within two weeks of the closing date.
