Its aim is to empower communities to develop new generations of productive citizens.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Nutrition Food Supply Service Supervisor<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Alexandra, Johannesburg<br \/>\n<strong>Report to:<\/strong> Social Worker<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the position is to make sure the kitchens function adequately and effectively, and to manage the work of the cleaning staff and this will include instructing and supervising.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure that preparation of food is done in hygienic and safe way and on time<\/li>\n<li>Quality food is provided to beneficiaries<\/li>\n<li>Consult with supervisory staff to plan menus, taking into consideration factors such as costs and special needs<\/li>\n<li>Estimate expected food consumption, then requisition or purchase supplies, or procure food from storage<\/li>\n<li>Order and take delivery of supplies<\/li>\n<li>Submit weekly and monthly reports<\/li>\n<li>Supervise all cleaning staff focusing on their performance in terms of standards of cleanliness and their behavior whilst on duty<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that a first class cleaning service is delivered to all areas of the building<\/li>\n<li>Review work schedule<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Grade 12 &#8211; Matric<\/li>\n<li>Cooking certificate<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of one-year relevant experience in a managerial\/supervisory role<\/li>\n<li>Health and safety or food hygiene qualifications will be an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Diploma in a catering subject will be an added advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit CV to\u00a0Ester Thage\u00a0at\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:estert@afrikatikkun.org\">estert@afrikatikkun.org<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>or alternatively fax application details to\u00a0086\u00a0668 0542<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>28th September, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Afrika Tikkun is an international nonprofit organisation\u00a0that provides education, health and social services to children, youth and their families through centres of excellence in South African Townships.
